Tanoa International Hotel

New renovation really made us feel happy.

We managed an event at Tanoa international Hotel in Fiji. The staff were great - special thanks to our barista Saiasi! Always ready with coffee for our delegates.

We loved our time at Tanoa International for a conference recently. The deluxe refurbished rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. Special mention to Saiasi our barista who made not only the best coffees but made our time in Fiji so special. We enjoyed getting to know Sai and all of the other staff. The hospitality at Tanoa International is perfect. Thanks for having us.

We hosted a one week Regional Conference at the Tanoa International. The level of professionalism displayed by the entire team was amzing. They clearly understand the complexities of hosting large groups and ensured every detail of our sessions ran on time and without a hitch. The staff truly goes above nd beyond to mke evry guest feel welcomed. The Tanoa team provided a fantastic variety of fresh, flavorful meals that kept our energy up all week. During one of our dinner events, we had a last-minute request. Despite the short notice, the team delivered exceptionally well, organizing everything perfectly without breaking a beat. We chose Tanoa International for its easy access and competitive rates, venue size and all-inclusive setup. The meeting room was ideal, the catering was just what we needed, and the staff were excellent. Has been refurbished since our last meeting in 2023 with a lovely pool and bar area and new conference space. Special shout out to our barista Saiasi, always welcoming and smiling and bringing the perfect brew!!

Location to airport

They were to pick Us up from airport but didn’t. We confirmed transfers and waited for 1/2 hr, tried to call and had to get taxi. When we arrived they said transfer finished at 9:30, our flight landed at 8:20 and we had to clear customs and immigration. Breakfast was ok. Food in pots not hot and not replished. People in room Next to us we could hear talking still at 3am.

The Tanoa International is a lovely hotel near the airport (nice for quick transfers). The hotel is open and airy and caters to conventions and conferences. The hotel is very clean and the staff are always cleaning. Speaking of the staff, they are all five stars...some of the nicest, friendliest people I've had the pleasure of interacting with in my international travels. I'd like to give a special shout out to Saiasi, who ran the Mint Cafe and was an excellent barista, and Enne, who served as a hostess for the morning restaurant crowd. Both were phenomenal and attentive. They quickly learned mine and my wife's names and made a point of greeting us every time we were in the area. Our room was a standard double bed with bath/shower, closet, safe, tea and kettle, and small work desk. There was also a large flat screen TV that we never turned on. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel has free wifi throughout the property which is sufficiently fast to watch you tube videos, send email, and browse the internet. The Tanoa International has a small air conditioned gym with free weights, dumbbells, a couple of nice treadmills, air bikes, and weighted balls (for wallball throws). I was the only person in the gym most days. The food was the highlight of the stay (after the staff), especially the traditional Fijian dishes like Kokoda. There is standard fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but one night each week a buffet of traditional Fijian dishes is offered...which I recommend you attend. The Japanese restaurant on the hotel grounds was closed during our stay. The hotel has a pool with adjacent pool bar and live music most nights. The one downside that kept this from being a five star rating was the presence of small bugs that came out of the floor drains each night in the bathroom. The staff provided a can of bug spray for us to use, but no one wants to make the late night trip to the bathroom only to watch the critters scatter when the light comes on. Overall the hotel was great, the staff excellent, and the value also great. You are not beachside, but if you are here for work this is an excellent choice.
