Casa O´Crego

Casa O'Crego is magical! Instead of going out for a day trip on one of our days there, we stayed in their garden that was designed with love. We spent the day reading and writing and enjoying the view and were filled with so much peace that it still lingers with me over 2 months later. On another day the owner took us for a day trip to the nearby town of Piornedo. Staying in Casa O'Crego feels like you've stepped back into history and are living in an ancient hamlet. The owner learned to cook from professional chefs, and it shows! The meals were delicious. The home was designed with such amazing detail that every time I turned around, I was seeing a new detail. Little Celtic symbols could be found all over. We were in Northern Spain for over a month, traveling from east to west and Casa O'Crego was my favorite spot of all! A true hidden treasure!!! The hosts were charming! We had wonderful conversations with the owner, and when we left, we gave her a shell from Corpus Christi, Texas as a parting gift. We walked away with the best memories. It was just a small token of our appreciation for the gift of Casa O'Crego!

You have to understand that this is a remote location. Our GPS stopped working when we were just around the corner from the house. Other people in town were quick to point us in the right direction. At Casa O'Crego you won't have internet or cell service, although we did find one particular spot that we could stand and get service. When you come to Casa O'Crego, be prepared to disconnect from the world, but that is part of its charm! It may be something that others wouldn't like, but we appreciated the opportunity to unplug!

Nice but not worth the money.

Too expensive

The house is like a museum but has all necessary facilities. It is family owned. The hosts are great, friendly and welcoming. We had dinner in the house and my daughter commented that it was the best food ever.

Awesome authentic farmhouse in very rural surrounding. Perfect accomodation if you desire to be lodges in an old authentic farmhouse with a lot of history. Host Uxia is extremely helpful and kind. Home made wines available, great and healthy dinner was cooked by Uxia and was a very good meal. If you like your 5 start hotels, then this is not for you: if you like a real authentic experience in Asturian style, than you won't find anything better than this: simply exquisite

N/A : Everything was simply perfect. I would have wished to stay longer than the 1 night we had foreseen: you can easily stay over a week and get fully detached from the outside world: awesome location to really disconnect
