The property is well kept. Love the easy access to the beach from the Beach Villas.

Saturday morning the fire alarm went off at 4:30AM and woke us up. We had to exit our room until the fire department finished checking all the rooms it was a huge inconvenience.

Cable wasn’t working, microwave didn’t work. The room was outdated. Had a hard time understanding staff.

The staff at the resort was so friendly. They text you everyday with either things that is going on and to see how your stay is going. Only thing that was bad but minor was all the construction going on but that would not stop me from going back. Very relaxing vacation.

Wonderful friendly staff, beautiful facilities, fun pools and bars, gorgeous clean beach, stunning wildlife all around (dolphins and ospreys and pelicans…) just a magnificent stay!

Overall it was a good hotel to stay at. Just be cautious because they charge your card without permission for a hold on in case you use it after the first charge when you check in. The whole resort is cashless. We did not know that. Everything it’s charged to the room. They also were doing construction which we were not aware of when we booked. The facility could be cleaned up a little more around the tennis courts. The rooms are very clean which I love. Free trolleys were great to bring you around the property. Sunset Beach is a must because they have food on premises.

The staff has a very poor attitude, and the resort needs a lot of work.

Great beaches and activities options. The property around the tennis out is a little bit old.

We stayed at the Harborside Hotel on the North end . Great location right by the pool and Ship Store, The pools were really nice and friendly staff! The beach was beautiful. The rooms are a little outdated ( I had already read that in a prior review). Once you see the view m you will forget about it being a little out dated . It would have been perfect with a real small coffee maker and microwave. Be advised to ask what kind of tub/ shower you are getting- the “Roman tub “ was pretty high to try to get in and out off , so probably not a good choice if you have any hip / balance issues . ALSO BE AWARE - when you check in , the hotel requires a $1000 hold on your card - we were NOT aware of this . We would have booked anyway, but it’s worth noting. Anything you buy from The Pointe , Scoops and Slices , Ship Store ect…… goes right on the card . You get the balance back at check out . It was very convenient, but could be easy to over spend ( or the kids - if they have access can buy what ever they want ). It’s nice because you can literally just walk around and not worry about having cash or cards on you . Definitely recommend the Shell Cruise - Captiva Cruises . It was overall a wonderful relaxing vacation! Nice people and nice time

South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island is just amazing.
