"Not a special experience"

The room was spacious, clean and quiet with a nice view of the river and forest. It was lovely sitting on the verandah listening to the rive accompanied by birdsong; no other sounds.

I have had Kaiseki before, and they were all delicious and special with a lot of variety in the various dishes. Here, in my opinion, there were too many 'soupy' courses as well as far too many rice courses. But they all tasted good and were beautifully presented. I still dream about my previous Kaiseki experiences, but I doubt whether this would have the same impact.

The hotel provides the shuttle for us to the winter lantern festival. The staffs in the hotel are friendly and thoughtful. Thank you for great service and the shuttle. We had a great stay here.
