Outlet Hotel

We arrived at the hotel in the evening with the person at the reception about to finish up for the day. We had booked a “junior suite” for 2 adults and one child only to find out that the hotel honestly thought we’d have our 5yr old sleeping in our bed (which was basically two single beds pushed together). The hotel employee seriously told us that this is what we had booked and that he can’t help but that we’d be welcome to convert a sofa chair into a third bed by ourselves. He basically handed us a pile of sheets, blankets, covers etc and left. The outrageous point came the next day when he charged an extra EUR 40 for the additional work we caused (despite the fact that we did all the work)! I also want to mention that the suite was barely big enough for 3 beds (ie I don’t think it is justified to call this a suite).

We have been staying at the hotel for 2 days and we had the unplesant surprise to fiind some unfriendly front office staff.First of all she was reproaching to us that the credit card used for the preauthorization was not good and that she couldn t block the money. We asked her why the hotel didn t reach back to us like it was the case with other hotels and the ptoblem was solved fast with no hard feelings,but instead she said it is not her business and that the online travel agent should have reached us. While she was telling us this and writting on the computer, "surprise", we receive the almighty email from the property saying the card is not valid.The problem was solved by using another card but the approach she used is unnacceptable. The second problem and, I would say the bigger one is when we finally reeached the destination and we wanted to park the car. Since the car is big we asked if it would fit in the underground parking knowing that the property offers parking at an extra charge. She, the front office lady told us we can leave it in front of the hotel and she assured us that there won't be any problem. What she forgot to mention is that the car can be left there only at night and that during the day it has to be moved. So the next day we find ourselves with a penalty from the local police and when I go inside and ask her politely to tell me what the penalty says, she translates and then runs back outside to shout at me that there is a big sign that says you are not allowed to park there during a certain timeframe. Now my question is couldn't she have told us this when we cheched in? What would have happended if the police would have picked up the car? Who would have been responsible? It is really a shame because given the circustances the hotel is very nice and clean and close to everything you could wish for, but the HOSPITALITY of the employees is something that they really have to work on...

We have been visiting Metzingen for 7 years. In my opinion this is a very nice hotel compared to the others around. Perfect clean rooms, friendly staff, delicious breakfast. The hotel is very close to the center so you can reach the shops with 5 minute walk. I can certainly recommend Kukione. Fan fact: kuki in Hunarian meand little dick :D
