The Prince Consort

After the first time we stayed there, we decided that it was going to be our place to stay every time. The staff are fantastic, the hotel is warm, welcoming and very clean. The breakfast is always gorgeous and sets you up for the day. We can't fault the place or it's team, we look forward to staying and will be there again in August.

Stayed at the Prince Consort for the first time for 2 nights in room 4. The room with ensuite was clean, nicely presented and had two comfortable single beds.The tea and coffee tray was well stocked. The breakfast choice was very good and the food was plentiful and nicely cooked. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

The only issues I had was the tv in the room would come on initially then go to a blank screen? Also the room emergency light has an extremely bright green light. It's not very noticeable in the day time but it's a piercing green light during the night time. I did report both of the issues with hotel staff. Although both issues were a little annoying, overall my stay was an enjoyable one.

The location was brilliant for our requirements 👏 Free parking uncluded, plenty of space availability & accommodation was close to both bus & train connections into town but still far enough away from there to enjoy a truely restful peace & quiet sleep 🤫 The member of staff we mainly encountered each morning was a delight, she was full of local knowledge & served our delicious breakfasts & drinks with a smile 😃 We would definitely recommend & stay there again... Thank you 😊

No window lock, our room felt a bit exposed to external factors & TV remote didn't work properly, still really nice stay though.

Friendly clean and tidy Food was good and breakfast was excellent

Great little pub, restaurant with accommodation to the rear of the pub lovely friendly owners/staff fantastic full English breakfast,comfy bed has everything you need and some little extras. We stayed in room 1 which was a twin bed as that’s all they had left but it was more than adequate for our needs we will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Southampton visiting our friends great value for money.
