"Large comfortable apartment for rent in the heart of Vernazza."

9.0

The apartment was minutes from the train station on the main square near the office of the manager, the apartment was cool, large, unique and had lots of character with a bed, large dining sitting area, a kitchen, a bathroom and a separate sitting area at the back - could easily house 4 perhaps 5 people comfortably.

Being in the old part of town, you cannot carry much as far a luggage (we did not), as there are about 30 steps from the street to the door (17 of these inside the main door at a pitched angle - so no bad knees), and the washer did take some time to clean the closes but able to hand on lines on outside windows, no wifi for first day - likely turned off but manager corrected by second day. Other than that, it was well cared for.

"A nice stay!"

It was right on the Main Street with an office downstairs for assistance. The apartment was homey - nice common areas & kitchen as well.

Casa di Eio was our home base during our stay in Vernazza as we hiked Cinque Terre. We booked last minute so had very few options. The location is excellent, right in the heart of downtown Vernazza. The Cinque Terre Riviera staff were all lovely and helpful. But the property itself wasn’t especially comfortable: it had a strange layout and outdated furnishings with no WiFi on-site (which can be a challenge for international travelers). The kitchen was stocked and nice and the bathroom looked recently updated. All in all the property was fine, it met our immediate needs and allowed us the opportunity to explore the area, but next time we’ll book way more in advance in another of Cinque Terre Riviera’s properties.
