Clean rooms

This was a very nice place to stay. Friendly staff, very clean. A hidden gem.

A nice accommodation in a quaint town. Front desk staff were pleasant & efficient with the check in process.

I enjoyed my stay. Owner pays attention a lot for cleaning everywhere. Facilities are old but well cared.

Nice quiet and clean room

Appreciated the easy check in and check out procedure. However, the listing needs to be updated as they do not offer a continental breakfast on the weekends anymore. The listing did note continental breakfast on weekends only, but when we asked staff on the Friday night they said they no longer offered continental breakfast because they had received complaints about the variety of options in the past. A large number of guests were staying for a local curling tournament, and we hope this was not a decision made by the staff purely because of the cost to feed the large number of tournament guests. The common room has two nice pool tables which offer play for $2 a round, and still has the toaster, fridge, coffee maker etc. visible. However the facilities are clean, and our two queen bedroom room did have both a large bar fridge, and microwave. Housekeeping during the week was prompt and efficient, and left the room very nice, new towels, refilled any used cups, Etc. However again, we did not receive housekeeping from our Saturday night to Sunday morning stay, and again wonder if they do not offer certain amenities over the weekend. The location, however, is close to everything in town and local highways. No issues with heat or hot water. The townsfolk from Palmerston are delightful, welcoming, and we overall enjoyed our stay for the tournament. Would definitely recommend it for any folks or families looking to stay in the area if there may be a local event going on.

I’ve stayed at the King before and will return in future. Great staff that are friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious. Extremely quiet. Everything was working well.

Would be nice to have breakfast included.

Snowmobile trip. Let me park and leave truck and trailer for multi day tour. Very friendly people.
