Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Dallas Plano

Breakfast was very good. A wide variety. AC is the kind that makes noise. Walls were thin so we could hear adjoining room tv. We could also hear footsteps in the room above. Toilet is extremely low to the floor.

It needs upgrades. Looks old and dingy

I did not stay at the property because it smelled terribly when I walked inside. The room even had a smell. I spoke with Shiwi at the front desk and she assured me I would not be charged for the room and that she would cancel the reservation and send the confirmation to my email. I never received a confirmation email that it was canceled. That is bad business.

Smelled terribly so I left and booked a room at a nearby hotel.

the following are the comments i just mailed to Marriott since their online form rejected everything i tried to type into the space for name of establishment, a requirement for my words to be submitted. you can't agree on exactly what the name of your hotel is on Plano Parkway in Plano, Texas. supposedly it was Marriott Bonvoy but your form rejects this when i type it in. i have wasted too much time typing in the various names you use, only to have them all rejected so i will have to print this and mail it to you.i cancelled my reservation at La Quinta and stayed here because they had no wifi. the room was not as nice as but more expensive than where i had planned to stay. there was no teakettle for me to heat my own water. every time i turned on the tv it was in Spanish and the message said no signal and charging. the receptionist couldn't offer any suggestions. later an attempt to call the front desk didn't go through and after i walked downstairs again to ask what the number was she couldn't tell me! when i tried to use the wifi i was required to choose my own password. water from the thermos dispenser downstairs wasn't hot enough to make my coffee. water accumulated around the bathroom sink and dripped to the floor. this is supposed to be a no-smoking hotel but the room stank of cigarette smoke drawn in by the air conditioner

Good location. The breakfast was good. Free parking. We felt safe there. Friendly staff.
