Grand Elite Cave Suites

Although it's on the edge of Göreme's hotel area it's only a few minutes walk to restaurants and shops. It's also quiet and has good views of adjacent fairy chimneys. The buffet breakfast was quite extensive and breakfast could be enjoyed by the swimming pool. The room was not large, but was adequate. It featured a very large flat screen TV, and the internet was good. Parking is available at the back of the buildings, via an unmade track. This was our third visit to Grand Elite, and we shall certainly return again.

I was quite excited to be booking the Queen Junior Suite. The photos showed quite a large room, built into the cave, with its own jacuzzi bath and sauna. The receptionist on arrival was very helpful and welcoming, gave me times of breakfast and the Wi-Fi password. A gentleman then helped carry my bags over to the separate building and up the stairs to my suite. There are two outdoor pools, one with a pool bar. Pool towels are provided. The hotel is in a quieter corner of the town but in an excellent position to walk in when I wanted to. I felt safe to do this as a woman on my own. The breakfast is OK. The usual Turkish spread including cheese, meat, olives, salad, juice, tea and coffee, bread and occasionally fruit.

On arrival, it wasn't quite the room I was expecting. The lighting is very dull, even the entrance doorway I struggled to put the key in as there are no lights. The jacuzzi bath was also poorly lit. The bath tap was very loose. Only two small hand and bath towels are provided, bathrobes would have been a nice touch. The slippers are also paper thin and not worth even wearing. There are two bottles of liquid in the shower cubicle but not labelled but guess it is shower gel and shampoo. No conditioner or body lotion provided. The outdoor pools are open for anybody to use, which I think is a shame, as its a unique selling point that other nearby hotels don't have. The poolside drinks are very expensive £7.50 for a milkshake, £12 for a cocktail. No discounts for staying at the hotel or happy hour etc. The restaurant isn't open in the evening ( but that may be temporary)?

Everything... What a magical place with wonderful staff and excellent facilities. A very delicious breakfast, too.

The bathroom didn't have a door in the double+single bed combo room that we stayed in. It might be OK for a couple. But I stayed with my mum. So it was a bit awkward...

The only room available when booking was a triple room with balcony. This was actually ideal for me on my own. The bathroom is only separated by a clear glass shower screen and I could use the single bed to put my clothes on etc. The air conditioning worked really well. There is a safe in the wardrobe. Loved having the balcony to myself, especially to watch sunrise/sunset and on my last morning I saw hot air balloons coming over the hotel. The hotel is on a quiet corner of the town but very easy to walk to any of the nearby shops and restaurants. I felt completely safe on my own. Having a swimming pool on the property was ideal after a busy morning out. Towels provided.

The prices of drinks at the pool bar seemed really expensive, £12+ for a cocktail. No discount for staying at the hotel or happy hour. It's a shame as I'm sure if there was offers on, people would buy more. The hotel restaurant was not open in the evening. And it was only on the last day that I discovered that there is a lunch time buffet, nobody had mentioned this! There was a faint smell of paint in my room. I believe they have been renovated. The curtains aren't quite wide enough to fully close and block out the sun light! Nearly everybody is staying in Goreme to visit the Hot Air Balloons. The only problem is how noisy people are at 3am EVERY Morning! I know this isn't the hotels fault but maybe put a couple of signs up to be quiet!

La vasca idromassaggio in camera era fantastica, la camera era spaziosa ed il letto molto comodo.
