"Disgusting couldn't even shower"

Never got breakfast it was a fast check in

The whole room was dirty tub sink floors I actually had the front desk clerk which who was very apologetic.and she would make note of it she did offer to change our room but after driving six hours we were pretty tired

"This hotel is infested with BedBugs. Please plan accordingly if you need to stay here."

The hotel is in a decent location, just off of Carrier circle. So it's very accessible to the NY Thruway and very close to the airport, so there are a bunch of hotels in this area. Staff was friendly and kind, check-in was decent. Unlike other reviews, the elevator does indeed work. Whether that was fixed between reviews or not I'm sure. There were some issues with mechanical parts of the door not being connected properly, or at all... But this didn't seem to prevent the door from working and locking properly, but it was a bit concerning. We rented the last handicap accessible room they had for the few days before Christmas as I sometimes need to use a wheelchair.

Unfortunately, we only slept in the bed for a matter of about 3-4 hours for a nap and I woke up to one BedBug full of -my blood- and exiting the scene of the crime in post haste. I have an app on my phone to identify insects, and it too confirmed that what I had found was indeed a bed bug. I then found another one crawling down the same arm looking for a meal. They were both killed and showed to staff on our check-out, after we spent an additional $80 cleaning every item of clothing and fabric-based items we had in the room with us at the nearby laundromat. I saw reviews of the other Red Roof hotel in this same complex of hotels, kicking out and banning guests for bringing up similar concerns and I assume as this one is also owned and operated by Red Roof, that it likely has the same local management team. We have a dog that is in the starts of service dog training, so we are limited to pet-friendly hotels - and also hotels that don't charge an exuberant amount of money because I have my in-training dog along. So we did not alert the owners until we left to ensure we still had a roof over our heads. I slept in the tub and my spouse slept on the floor of the bathroom so we didn't get any more bites. I am allergic to bed bugs so I swelled up quickly where I was bitten. (Please see attached pictures.) When we checked out, the gentleman at the counter asked why we didn't say anything (I already explained here) and he also told me the owner was going to call me. It's been a few days and I have yet to receive a phone call. I will also be informing the local health department of the situation, as well, as this is unacceptable.
