Avani Avenida Liberdade Lisbon Hotel

Room size and accommodation was good. However there were many issues with the room that were not fixed during the stay. Breakfast was good. Night staff were all exceptional, very helpful getting reservations. Staff failed terribly in ordering cab service to train station for 8 people in morning. Resulting in additional expense for 3 cabs instead of 1.

No A/C in room not working for 3 days temp 24C telephone didn't work so could not get wake up calls, staff knocked on door but so lightly you couldn't hear (I get they didn't want to disturb other guests.) Fortunately I was up. Room never serviced with enough towels for 2 people. No hooks in bathroom to hang up anything. Very dusty room.

We were happy with everything at the Avani.

We were told the pool was open, the next day it was closed for an event. We were sent to another Tivoli hotel across the Avenida Liberdade to a rooftop pool, which was adequate but nothing like the oasis of the Avani pool.

Reception staff very helpful, despite it being a building site - I'm sure the reception area will look great when it is finished. Buffet breakfast was good, although don't like having to queue at a machine to get hot drinks (and I wish they had teapots) Most hotels serve hot drinks to the table even if the food is buffet.

We have just stayed at 8 different hotels in Portugal (and Spain). This was the most expensive and the least satisfactory. Don't be seduced by the idea of a balcony on a high floor - it just looks out onto the hotel car park, air conditioning plant, and some entirely uninteresting buildings. The room seems to have been designed for business men staying one night. Both sides of the bed had both USB-A and USB-C charging ports and a clever multi-country plug socket. Super-fast WiFi. Also beside the bed was a small shelf which at the slightest touch slid in, sweeping everything onto the flood - managed to make it safe by wedging in some card. The one place to put luggage in the room could accommodate nothing bigger than a brief case. We were staying for 4 nights, and has suitcases. The wardrobe area oddly had door runners but no doors. Coffee maker provided, but no mild/whitener. On enquiry we were told the hotel did not provide milk - maybe the Portuguese only drink black coffee. In the bathroom all our other hotels had 1 or 2 basins set in a counter top, giving plenty of space for toiletries. The bathroom here has a stand-alone wash basin plus a very small shelf to one side - plenty of room where more adequate shelving could have been provided. The décor was bizarre - strident patterns over walls and ceiling. Some may like it - we certainly did not.

Hotel com localização central, ótimo café da manhã, com instalações limpas, aconchegante e pessoal atenciosos e simpáticos!

In the city center near to top brand shopping stores. Very close to main square. Easy to link with public transportation. Room is quite big and clean. Balcony is also quite big which is a plus. Breakfast has more choices than I assumed.

Balcony furnitures are too heavy and material is ridiculous. Not comfortable at all.

Excelente hotel, personal muy amable y profesional, ubicación con metro cercana, lo recomiendo.

El restaurante-bar cierra después de los desayunos, echo en falta poder tomar un café, un refresco o una copa. Es una zona chic con poca restauración, hay que bajar la avenida hasta la plaza del rossio a 10 minutos andando.

La ubicación es magnífica y el trato del personal exquisito

Las reformas en el hotel son mejorables. Han subido los precios pero las duchas es un serio problema ya que el agua se estanca y a veces se desborda el agua. Los enchufes del cabecero funcionan uno y si y dos no. Y la almohada, por qué hay una, un poco dura. Relación calidad precio, creo que ahora …. No vale lo que se paga.
