Good location room was clean

Pool, needs serious work. Stair pole visibility broken, inside wall of pool dirty, water was murky not clear didn’t feel water was safe to swim in.

Staff was great. Breakfast was adequate - hot proteins, pancakes, waffles, etc. Yogurt was meh. Coffee options were good, oatmilk was provided. Room was spacious for a Best Western. It had a fridge and microwave.

Both elevators were out of service for three days. We were on the 5th floor. We stayed three nights for a wedding. One elevator was not working when we arrived. The second one quit working the next day so we had to use the stairs, in my gown and high heels. It started working again the following day, but then someone got stuck in the elevator and the local firemen had to break into the elevator. So we had to take the stairs, including when we brought our luggage down to check out. No compensation was offered.

I thought the breakfast was above that at other hotels. The kitchen staff kept everything filled, cleaned and were helpful. The grounds were well kept, lovely flowers, green grass, with attention to detail.

It was a challenge with bus loads of kids during this busy time of year to use the facilities, ie the pool and workout room.

The desk clerk that was there when we checked in was very friendly and professional. The next day, the staff that we had contact with were also friendly and professional. We liked being on the first floor but we're sure any room on any floor would have been comfortable. I had appointment at Dana Farber Cancer Center so the location was convenient. The breakfast was very good. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

The noise from the refrigerator was annoying during the night. It made different sounds. The refrigerator froze water and a sandwich. We didn't realize how cold it was until the next morning. There is a control in it but I couldn't move it as I was in hopes of saving someone else from food or water freezing. When we checked in we had prepaid the cost of the room and the desk clerk had us make a $25 deposit for amenities. He said we would get the $25 back after we leave. I still don't understand why we had to deposit $25 but it's okay as long as it is refunded to us.

The rooms, are clean, and the breakfast very good.

The bathrooms should have powered vent when you turn the light on for mist and odor to leave the room outwards. The swimming pool is not good for people who are not good swimmers since its deep from the start, it also lacks good side drainage where water paddles are all round the pool and cold. I would like you to introduce buffet for lunch and dinner.
