There are so many things i did not like but i will not mention everything here. My main concern was the filthy carpet smell. Oh my God it was gross the moment you enter the facility and into your room. You can smell the musty mildew odors and you can tell the underlying mold issue. I tried to ask kindly if they have non-carpet room but they dont. instead the manager offered a carpet freshener. I refused the offer and just spent the night and suck it up. Too late ti cancel. My family and i just stayed for a night. It was a last minute booking and i thought it was a clean hotel because the reviews are not bad and it was close to everything.

The room was super clean, beds were comfy. The staff was super nice. And the breakfast was so good with many options.

Time went by to fast

On June 8, 2026, my semi broke down and had to be towed to a dealership in Dothan AL. Thats when my stay began with LaQuinta. I got to know the friendly staff each day til I checked out. From the manager, the front desk and housekeeping staff, everybody always greeted me and helped with any of my needs. The room was clean. The ac froze me out it was so cold. The mattress was very comfy. The shower had plenty of pressure and was always hot. Every morning eggs, bacon or sausage, sausage gravy and biscuits. Waffle batter and 2 irons to cook them on. Alaways hot and if something ran out, a quick HEY ARE YOU MAKING... would always bring more fresh food out. Security cameras all over for everybodies safety. I didnt use them, but there was a nice well maintained pool and I seen a modern fitness room. A short, less than a mile, walk to a variety of restaurants from fast food to Mexican. Richie B's across the street has big slices of NY style pizza. Directly behind is a Publix grocery as well as a Big Lots across the street. Very accessable to everything. Its a very nice property worth the rate paid. I finally checked out on the 17th. If Im ever back in the area and need lodging, I would definately return. Thanks for everything ladies & gents. The room was very clean, the bed was super comfy. If I come back to Alabama I will def stay there again.

Location and price

Mold spots on the ceiling in the bathroom. Dirt and dust around the ac / heating unit. It looked like that area of the room has been overlooked for some time. Stayed four days, only received room service one day. Had to go to the front desk twice to obtain towels and other needs. There were youth baseball teams and families at the hotel, young kids ran up and down the hallways during the night. Poor parenting indeed. The carpet in the room needs cleaning. Musky smell.

Convenient location, reasonable price

Room wasn’t cleaned well; no attention to detail. We had a partial roll of toilet tissue and ran out the morning we left. The floor in the bathroom was soaking wet when we arrived and we were told it had just been cleaned.
