Right next to the leh market and buzzing life yet I. The peace with views of snow clouded mountain. Great place to stay. And very safe even for solo women traveller...

Quiet and peaceful place to stay

We had travelled to Leh on a sudden whim! And in the brief planning period The Indus Valley seems to be our best option. One, proximity to the market Two, pictorially very nice Three, good reviews...... so we booked Four, very responsive call back from the hotel for information and suggested support With much trepidation (as some of the previous experiences on Booking.com listings weren't up to the mark) when we reached, we found this to be totally something that you would want to bet your booking on! A very warm welcome - a warm room (they keep the heater on 24/7 in winters) at -8 degrees, and a very clean and well appointed room. We opted for a double room with balcony - and it was just right, if you wanted to feel the crisp freeze after some time in the warm room! As it was peak of winter, there weren't many guests - but that did not even once stop the efficient housekeeping or the kitchen to respond in real quick time. After reading many reviews about slow service and very slow catering on orders - we, even for once, did not have to call back a second time for anything with either guest services sections. The hotel arranged for us a short tour to some of the places of interest - and were very careful in selecting for us what would be ideal for our short-stay - keeping in mind the need for acclimatization. Food was alright - we just had dinner, as we were out mostly in the market and on a day tour. While slightly expensive - it is not outlandish, understanding that in winter the logistics of supply is not easy. Breakfast was sumptuous - no questions asked! Overall, it was a great on the spur decision to pick The Indus Valley - no complaints....only kudos.... Thanks guys for making our stay really really worthwhile!

There were some maintenance issues when we checked in but our room was upgraded to make our stay comfortable. We were offered the services of the hotel transport which we took. Hussian the driver was friendly and had good knowledge of the area which made our tours enjoyable. Overall we found the hotel nice & comfortable with good food and friendly staff. Thanks to Deizy for a smooth check in despite the maintenance issues. We recommend this hotel but be mindful of the challenges in Len , especially during winter.

This is the most tranquil hotel that I’ve ever stayed at. From the calming music on the lower floor to the super-chill staff and the saffron tea. The elevators with a mountain view on the far side, the corridors, everything. It’s all very relaxing. The room is well appointed, great views and a high-tech tv if that’s something you’re looking for. A comfy chair and a delightful bathroom.

The service is warm for the customers.Especially the attitude of the receptionists,Tani & Stanzin Sonam,is comfortable…🤗🤗🤗

Wifi is not so stable…😿😿😿
