No lobby was nice brand new very clean

The bedrooms, the floors were dirty and the end tables they need to take their time. They need to tell their cleaning women to clean the end tables properly all the tables in their room and the floor.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We pulled into this dump at 2 AM after driving for over 12 exhausting hours, hoping for a few hours of decent sleep before continuing our trip. Instead, we walked into one of the nastiest hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room smelled foul the second we opened the door. The floors were sticky and filthy, the “remodeled” interior was already peeling apart, and the elevator sounded like it was one bad day away from collapsing. But the absolute highlight? ROACHES. Actual roaches crawling around the room. We immediately went back downstairs and told the front desk we would NOT be staying and expected a full refund. The employee at the desk acted completely uninterested from the start — she couldn’t even be bothered to give us directions to our room when we checked in — and then told us we’d have to wait until morning for a manager. Before leaving, we made sure to get it IN WRITING that we did not stay in the room and were requesting a full refund. We then left and paid for another hotel because there was no way we were spending the night in a bug-infested health hazard. The next morning somehow got even worse. We were told they would not refund us and to “deal with Expedia.” Then, to top it all off, the hotel LIED to Expedia and claimed we had stayed in the room all night — despite us leaving immediately and having written proof that we didn’t stay. So if you enjoy roaches, disgusting floors, sketchy elevators, rude staff, dishonest management, and being lied to after the fact, then by all means stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Birmingham Homewood. I’ve stayed at La Quintas before and never had an issue, but this place was so revolting and so poorly managed that I genuinely question whether I’ll ever stay at another one again. Avoid this place at all costs.

The staff the facilitys were awesome, clean perfect area for all the restaurants around , peaceful quiet, I loved my whole trip and was definitely .

We liked the chair with table that slide under to use. The outdoor grounds were nice...garden gazebo...quiet area.

The bed base was terrible, made noise every time you sat down on it. Very noisy from hallways...kids running, doors shutting, could hear people talking. Breakfast area right in main lobby, noisy. No luggage racks...husband walks with leg braces and could not carry much...82 year old wife did all the lugging in (cooler, food bags, suitcases, CPAP machine). Very inconvenient 😢😢 Also had all personal care in stationary dispensing bottles...would have like a face bar of soap. Also run credit card days before we arrive and have to pay $100.00 damage deposit on arrival....waited for it to be credited.
