Get ready for a 1 star service experience. First off, after driving for hours you end up sitting in the lobby for 2 hours because NOONE is there to check you in. They’ve a sign that says “no early checkin”. How many of you Diamond members arriving early at ANY OTHER hotel have ever seen that? One word, if you’re thinking about staying here at the Roosevelt GRAND Dakota, “Avoid”, cause it ain’t “grand” at all.

first room had a large stain on carpet, a dirty washrag on the sink and the bathroom fan has a nonstop loud squeal. Offered an upgrade but I had to take everything back to the truck and drive around to other side of building and bring everything back up an elevator. Then discovered the tv didnt work. Front desk said theyd send someone to look at it. An hour later no one had come so went to the desk again. They offered another move but I declined.Then 2 very young girls came to work on the tv. They got it going but by then it was bedtime. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good with hot and cold items. They told that Best western has bought it and will be remodeling. Asked for a discount for all the issues but they refused

Beds comfy. If have kids who swim, room opened to pool which looked very nice. We were on "dog" floor which had a strong chemical smell, but not like dog. Nice breakfast.

"Everything was really neat there..except the added parking $."

Breakfast was good…staff was very nice… location was great.

Getting charged over$225 for parking fee. ?? No other hotel that we stayed in charged extra for that. We were not notified of the extra $ until after we left and I looked at the copy of the bill…and my checking acct. very disappointed in that.
