La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Portland DT Maine Med

Hotel and room was clean. Staff were great and friendly. Breakfast was ok

Ok for a few days but not in an area for eateries.

Really clean and comfortable rooms for the price. Was pleasantly surprised. Lots of parking and the pool looked nice despite it being too cold for us to use.

No microwave in breakfast area, had to go upstairs to room to make porridge

Property was clean. Staff was friendly. Enjoyed the workout room.

The beds were a little dated and used. The breakfast was below average at best.

The location was decent and check in/out was smooth.

The beds sheets were very itchy and uncomfortable. For queens beds they were questionably small as well.

I liked that when I complained about the first dirty, smelly room you put me in you had a slightly cleaner room to switch me to. This hotel has seriously gone down hill.

I didn't think staff was nice. The first room we were given was dirty and smelly. We were given a different room which we had to take the elevator to reach - SKETCH! The elevator would fall a couple inches each time it stopped at a floor and opened the doors making a loud and squeaky noises. The WORST part, is that if this hotel markets as "Free Parking", however, when you actually book a room and sign in, it is an up charge. It is an up charge because they try to sell parking spaces for events at Thompson's Point (etc) for $20. There is plenty of parking and it used to be free to those staying in the hotel. I used to stay here basically every trip to Portland, but NOT AGAIN!! This place is NOT worth the higher than before prices with less amenities. Also, we found lots of small items on the floor where things should have been vacuumed up. GROSS!!
