Hilton Long Island/Huntington

Hotel is nice. Employees for the most part were great. Hotel needs a little work. Our A/C did not work properly and on our last day/night our room was 76. We called at 12 and someone came up to reset it and bring a fan. When we got back to room at 10pm it was till 76. We called and they said they were busy, we insisted someone fix it but no one showed up. We asked for another fan just to get through the night. Still no one came to look at the AC. As far as the breakfast service goes, Negassi was out server 3 days. He was absolutely amazing!! Nicest man I’ve ever met!! He’s a keeper for sure!!

When you have issues here, don’t expect customer service. From a broken shower (couldn’t turn on) to no hot water for four hours (zero communication), there was one issue after another. We changed rooms and once again, problems. Our room keys would repeatedly fail requiring a visit to the front desk. Upon returning to our room in the evening, we found that the room was not serviced (no towels, no bedding, etc.). You will get a simple “I’m sorry” when you call. No offers of compensation or other accommodation. The rooms are not clean, sticky carpeting and the hallways could use a vacuuming. For the hospitality industry, this place has a F-grade. This place is just a failure from on every level.

We are currently enjoying another wonderful stay at the Hilton Long Island/Huntington, and one of the biggest reasons we continue returning is the people. What makes this property special is not just the location or amenities, but the genuine warmth and consistency of the staff. It had been roughly three years since our last visit, yet Gary and Kim in the Atrium Lounge, along with Negassi in the breakfast area, still remembered us from previous stays. That level of hospitality is rare and incredibly meaningful. Gary and Kim always create such a welcoming atmosphere in the lounge area, and Negassi makes breakfast each morning feel less like a hotel experience and more like visiting familiar friends. Those kinds of personal connections leave a lasting impression and are the reason places begin to feel like a second home instead of just another hotel. The overall environment remains warm, comfortable, and inviting, and experiences like this are exactly why we keep coming back whenever we are in the Long Island area. A sincere thank you to Gary, Kim, Negassi (pictured), and the entire team for continuing to make returning guests feel genuinely remembered and appreciated. That kind of hospitality matters. ❤️

It was the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel. We came here for a trip and the last two night we have had several people in ski masks violently kicking on every single door at all hours of the night/morning. When told the front desk and security they stated “We dont have time for this” as 6 people were running around the hotel with ski masks on and they didnt care. It was not safe here and i wouldn't let a dog stray dog stay in this hotel, nevermind my family. The staff needs to do better

Yolanda is truly wonderful, year after year. We come to the Hilton every year while visiting people we love at a local cemetery, and Yolanda, the blonde Russian waitress whose name I wish I could remember and the entire staff have always shown us such compassion. This year, we were there to bury my mother, and Yolanda and the whole staff were more than kind. In a world where kindness can feel rare, you are truly lucky to have people on your team who show such humanity.
