With one very minor exception, all the staff were friendly and genuinely making every effort to be helpful. Management genuinely took in the issues and did give the feeling they do want the property to improve.

The room, while clean from a "did the maid do their job?" perspective, had a general feel of disrepair and, to the extent prior repairs had been done in the room, it was visibly shoddy work that managed to combine both a visible lack of skill to do the job and elements that were likely more of a lack of caring about the end result. The water flow in the shower was poor and the bottom end plastic multi-function shower head was unable to truly switch into a specific mode (spray vs. massage), and thus did both poorly. The selection at the continental breakfast was marginal at best for a brand that is part of a major hotel chain. Apparently zero sound isolation between rooms. Conversations in the next room could be heard clearly through the doors that allow for joined rooms, and the footsteps of the people walking around upstairs were very loud - not because they were stomping but because every sound was being transmitted down. Overall, I felt like the reviews here on booking.com rated the property massively higher than anything I saw indicated it was worth of receiving. Even if I adjust for it being a low price offering, I'm struggling to give it good ratings even based on the idea of value. It is definitely not a place I would go to again unless I knew it had received a top to bottom remodel - as in gutting each room as needed with quality repairs and modern fixtures.

Breakfast was standard, nothing special. Bed was comfortable. Hotel was definitely old and probably needs to be updated and cleaned.

Sand between the sheets. Furnishings and fixtures very worn. Hall carpeting badly stained: they wisely traded carpeting for vinyl flooring in the room. Ventilation works. Tiny breakfast area with the usual uninspiring items. Toni's, the diner next door, is great.

The beds were comfortable, the room good sized. They offered a full breakfast with eggs sausages yogurt, toast and waffles. The staff refilled often. The front staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel room was not very clean and I did not feel very safe.

Amazing vibes, the staff were all super nice. There are some lovely cows across the street and I personally enjoyed waking up to their moos, it was a very humorous and positive start to the day!!

the room was not clean. There was dirty rings of something on the bathroom countertop and dirty spots on the mirror. Also dirty rings on the bureau top (below the wall mount TV) and on both nightstands. The floor also was not very clean, because when we walked barefoot, it made the soles of our feet dirty (so we had to wash our feet repeatedly). Also the coffee in both the room and the breakfast bar was awful (like gas station coffee).

Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room could have used a table and two chairs instead of an well-used overstuffed chair. The grounds were not well kept up. I'm sure at one time they were much nicer. Plants didn't look watered and weeds abounded. There were also bird droppings at one entrance because of swallows. Breakfast was mediocre at best, and there was a poor selection of teas. The staff was courteous and really helpful. THEY were five star!! Also, there is a great Mexican restaurant right next door.
