3rd bedroom was small

This accommodation itself is ok.

We have arrived late on that day, and found dirty sheets. We have a kid, and very tried, but we have to wait for the staff come to change the sheets, so the child has to wait there, and can’t go to sleep We asked for change a room, but have been told all fully booked, and the management company refuse to go any further about this issue. We are not unreasonable guests, we just need to be treated fairly, but we found this management staff is very arrogant, doesn’t care about the guests experience at all

Host was excellent with communication. Location was good - easy walk into town. Property was clean although a stray bottle top had been left on the shelf (by the games), other than that, the property was clean. Beds were comfortable, great having a washing machine and clothes dryer available. Location was reasonably quiet, integral garage was a massive bonus. Check in and check out instructions were very easy to follow.

Issues below all raised with property management company: Net curtains in lounge/dining area were broken and left hanging; to be fair to the host - I did message about these (as well as the kitchen tongs being melted) and he offered for someone to come and fix that day (which I declined) as I did not want to have to deal with someone coming in. Locks on pretty much all internal doors do not appear to work, curtains in the main bedroom were ripped. A window in the main lounge area was leaking when it rained, roof above stairwell has clearly been repaired and the patch was falling off. Non-stick cookware, not so non-stick. Cleaning “spray and wipe” was almost empty. Coffee machine leaked. Some of the lights are not working (probably just need bulb replacement). The property uses “Eco Store” products which, in my opinion do not work very well at all. I found that all glasses, cutlery, and cups needed to be rinsed before use as they were covered in what appeared to be a white powdery residue, which I am almost certain was from the dishwasher powder. I say this as I had the same issue after I put a load through the washer. There was only one towel allocated per person; I feel extra towels should be available. We were unable to locate recycling bins – rubbish bin at the end of the property was overflowing and rubbish bags were just dumped on the ground. However, what I was most upset about was what was advertised as a “3rd bedroom” which was basically a box room with just two single beds and a side type table, no storage or room for baggage etc. My understanding is the legal definition of a bedroom in New Zealand is that “a bedroom must have at least one window opening to the outside to provide adequate natural light and ventilation” – as such, I am struggling to comprehend how this apartment can be marketed as three bedroom?

The view was obstructed by the front property which affected the privacy
