Comfort Inn Near Greenfield Village

The location was close to The Henry Ford attractions.

First room - toilet was broken when we arrived. The water just kept running with a very high pitched noise. The kind woman at the front desk gave us another room and upgraded us. Second room - turned on the TV and it looked like it had been dropped and broken. The top left quarter of the screen had a broken spider web design in the glass and then lines radiating out from there. Impossible to watch the TV. The kind woman at the front desk met us at that room and gave us a key to our third room. Third room - back down to a regular room. However, the other rooms had clocks but this one did not. Not a big deal but we needed to let the desk know because it was explained to us that there is a $100 security deposit in case things are broken or missing. Also, SO many bright lights that you cannot turn off - light on the hair dryer (with a VERY short cord), lighted light switch, clock on the microwave, light coming in from the window (the dark curtains do not close maybe because the A\C is under the window), super bright light and VERY loud fan in the bathroom (connected to the light so the fan came on with the light - very loud in the middle of the night), big gap under the door to the hallway with a lot of light coming in there. Also, the elevator and the hallway smelled of weed. Our room did not smell like pot so that was good. Breakfast was decent.

The staff Bathroom wasn’t working

The staff were very lovely and made check-in a breeze. The morning attendant to the breakfast was also a very pleasant lady, who kept everything very tidy and fresh.

The room was less than desirable as far as cleanliness goes. Hairs on the sink and toilet. An open can of pop left in the fridge and the floors were sticky (carpet included).

The room had a slight musty odor to it. The water would not get hot. We let it run for 20 minutes and it remained cool. We couldn’t even shower before bed. It was still cool the next morning. When I called the front desk that night he said the only option was to wait till morning or take a refund to try another hotel. Other hotels were booked up or out of budget so we stayed.
