This was a late decision and reservation. Anna stayed late to get us checked in and directed to our cabin. The cabin was clean and well stocked. Pet friendly but be aware that there is an extra fee. Beautiful setting and plenty of privacy for a quick rest stop!
Cabins are clean, and a little on the small side. The hosts were communicative and helpful and the breakfast in the lodge in the morning was basic but nice. Overall, it was a good stay, water could’ve been hotter in the showers.
Absolutely gorgeous area, but because it was off season the restaurant only had limited options and closed early. The bed was not very comfortable.
This is such a cool property! I felt like we drove in through the forest. It is absolutely gorgeous in October.

Excellent very friendly and accommodating
The area, like all of the Grand Mesa we saw, was gorgeous. BUT, the staff was brusk, inhospitable and combative. The cabin had no heat, and was 48 degrees inside. When we complained to the owner, she bluntly said “that’s not cold”, that there was nothing she could do because the inspector had not been out to certify the heater yet and that she was unable to make a price adjustment because Expedia took her profit margin. I’ve never met a ruder person in the hospitality business.
We were craving a night in the pines in our own cabin with a comfortable bed and private bathroom and this hit the mark. Bonus of a super friendly staff with tasty Polish beer and sausage, plus free breakfast and they let us book just one night! The exterior lodge roof was being reshingled but always good to see improvements occuring. Not fancy, more homey and relaxing!
It is beautiful and clean.
Everything was terrible. There was supposed to be a deck off the back of the cabin. It collapsed in the winter. They nailed the patio door to the floor so there was only one way out of the cabin. The employees were very disrespectful. Charged me 26 dollars for a pet. We requested our money back and the male employee belittled me. We left and the dog fee was kept. Restaurant was closed because the cook didn’t come in. The rude employee I think was the cook but didn’t want to open. I want my money back.
