Matai Huka Boutique Accommodation

The tranquility of the location yet only a short drive to the town and beacht. The accomadation is exceptional and the gardens are amazing with a huge variety of birds, waterfowl etc.

Shona was an amazing host and very generous with the very yummy breakfast options. The location was peaceful and relaxing. The cottage had everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable. I would love to come back again.

Shona and Tony are considerate caring couple who exercise the type of hospitality I expect from New Zealanders. The venue is exquisite and well maintained.

Wow, what a wonderful place to stay! Close to the Queen Elizabeth Park with the peace and tranquility of the forest. Spectacular Apartment, very well furnished and equipped. We enjoyed our breakfast with view to the gardens listening to birds singing. Lovely hosts. It was perfect!

The location amazing grounds to sit and enjoy. A comfortable one bedroom boutique accommodation. Far exceeded anywhere else we had stayed on our NZ trip. We would have been happy to stay here more than one night. The bed was very comfortable, a full size kitchen and living room with outside sitting area looking out onto a beautiful view.

Nicely located in the hills, the chalet was nicely furnished and well stocked kitchen/bathroom, beautiful gardens with local birds, very friendly owners who also washed/dried our laundry.

Nothing to dislike

Probably my only thing would be is for the property have better signage out front to make it easier to find when dark.

Ample Breakfast with great selection! After travelling all day the beautiful calm views and gardens were just what we needed - spectacular 🤩
