Hampton Inn Dover

We stay at this hotel multiple times a year… overall a great hotel, other than the front end mgr K.M. Rooms are always clean, the girls at the front desk, the breakfast lady, the cleaning staff are all wonderful… only issue is KM. He is condescending, rude, and just an overall pompous man.. we’ve watched him talk to not only us in this way, but other guests and staff as well. Not a welcoming person to have as your first point of contact for sure!

The hallway and staircase had a smell. I have been here for a few weeks for work and there’s been instances where children are running the hallways at night, loud music. My microwave had to be replaced after one use. The walls are extremely thin. There’s been two separate days where they were doing some type of wall hanging and it’s extremely loud. One day I didn’t get towels and when I asked the front desk, they didn’t have any clean towels to give. The location is okay because there’s stores around. I only recommend if staying one or two nights but not for a long term stay.

House keeping did not need to knock on my door at 9am to see if I'm checking out. Check out is 11am and I sleep until 10am... the room had an empty box still in it. The sink was very slow draining and the toilet seat was not installed flush with the toilet bowl. Those little things make a big difference in return customers..

Paige was EXTREMELY helpful. I had booked the wrong city and there were no rooms available throughout Dover. Sje went above and beyond to work with me. I'm this day and age good customer service is hard to come by. She deserve recognition and a raise.

It was clean,

For a renovated hotel the bed mattresses were lumpy, phone in the room didn’t work and no place to plug in. Went down to desk, said she was coming to the room, never came. Person on desk the next morning, acted as though he wasn’t concerned either. Front desk person 3/1/26 am) let a person carry her dog into the food area where people were getting their breakfast. Same morning Front desk person acted like he didn’t see her, and never said a word. Overall the property itself was ok.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve stayed at the Hampton Inn in Dover, DE several times for quick one-night stays, and it’s consistently a great experience. Check-in is always smooth, the staff is welcoming, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet—perfect after a long day. The beds are especially comfy, and everything feels well maintained. For a reliable, stress-free overnight stay, this Hampton Inn never disappoints. I’ll definitely keep coming back. Also the free breakfast is always a bonus and there are many food establishments very close to the hotel.
