When we arrived we saw immediately that the sofabed in the lounge was broken and could not be used to sit or sleep on, this was disappointing as it meant there were not enough beds for us all. We contacted the owner and the next day a chap arrived with an airbed. We requested that the sofa be replaced but that did not happen. The wiring in the property is very precarious with one of the light fittings dangling precariously from a plastic junction. The shower does not work. When drawing the curtains in the main bedroom the whole curtain rod came crashing down. The property did not have any properly installed smoke alarms - when we enquired the chap found one on a shelf in a cupboard which we then left out on the mantelpiece. There was a carbon monoxide alarm which did have a battery but again it had not been installed in the correct position and was on a low shelf. We raised these various issues with the owner and requested a partial refund but so far this has not been forthcoming. I would not recommend staying here.
