The location is great, the breakfast was very poor. They should consider adding items to the b-fast.

Everything was amazing! We had a little problem with the booking but they worked everything out with us and made sure everything went good. We were there for a concert and stayed three days and everything was clean and neat. Area wasn't bad at all and staff was super nice and helpful. A big thank you to them

Clean rooms

Holes in the walls. LARGE holes. Terrible paint job in the room in a horrible brown color. Dirty/slapdash paint in the halls. Hall REEKED of the worst stale smoke - as did the bathroom. This despite every room on the floor sporting a no smoking sign. The elevator on the other hand stank of buckets of mold/mildew. The overall brown carpet and decor made the place look like escaped from the 1970’s. Been staying at a number of Quality Inns over the past several months. Some good, some bad, but this place felt like it should be the setting of a horror movie. The one reason I didn’t just walk out is I was tired and the sheets were clean.

I'm pretty sure I don't understand some of the reviews about this hotel. If you want a 5 star hotel there is a Marriot in town. This is America's Best Value Inn, I understand being skeptical about any of their properties, I have stayed at some not so nice versions of this place, but trust me, this one is very good. They actually invest in the property and upgrade it, I have stayed here numerous times. The rooms have tile flooring and granite top furniture and counters, it's very nice. Large screen flat TV, microwave and refrigerator in every room I've been in . The only thing it's lacking is a coffee pot, but there is a Whataburger next door that has good coffee if you are in need, or go down to Gordon's Bait and Tackle, they have a very nice cup of coffee and good local flare burritos as well. The pool is immaculately maintained, the people that run it live on the property, it's well monitored and very nicely kept. This place is right on the outskirts of Brownsville when heading to Padre Island. I really can't say enough for the hotel or the people that are running it. The old saying you get what you pay for? In this case, you get a lot more for what you pay for in terms of value. If you're planning to try this place out, just call the hotel for the best rates. None of the online venues have better rates than what they will give you over the phone, I've tried on several occasions. Not that their online prices are that bad, but I paid $47 plus tax in person whereas the online venues had it priced at $59.

They bang on your door multiple times very rude to get you to check out

We had a 2 night stay with 2 adults and needed more towels. Housekeeping was very prompt with them coming mid morning so we could request additional towels vs. going to the office/front desk. I did think it was lame that we could not take food to go from the continental breakfast and that breakfast was only available for two hours.

Nothing fancy about this hotel. I only stayed for one night. Breakfast seemed a little lacking.

The lady in the fruition when I checked in had an attitude. She told me I can't have anybody visit me and if I did I would have to leave.. but other than that I guess the stay was ok.
