Hotel Borg by Keahotels

Hotel Borg is a perfect location to stay, walking distance to Rainbow Street, dining, convenient for tour bus pick up/drop off. Staff is accommodating and kind ! Breakfast which is offered is a fabulous collection of treats to get you started on a long day of exploration. I highly recommend Hotel Borg!

The location is perfect, there are lots of nearby restaurants, a convience store, souvenirs shop, laundromat...bed is big and bathroom's nice.

"Breakfast included" doesn't include hot drinks other than hot coffee, water and milk. If you want a cappuccino from the machine or something else you have to pay additional fees!! This was my first time hearing this, in every other hotel elsewhere in the world I went to with buffet style, the waiters prepared hot drinks for free! That was the only weird thing...

The hotel is a Reykjavik classic in a perfect part of town. In parliament square and close to everything you need while being quiet.

The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that it was clean. Beyond that, it felt outdated compared with other hotels in the same area. What disappointed me most was learning that the restaurant has been closed for years. This was not disclosed in advance. There was also no bar, which was frustrating, especially when other nearby hotels clearly offered those amenities. As a result, this hotel felt like nothing more than a clean place to sleep. The overall atmosphere was very basic, dull, and somewhat abandoned. While the staff were cordial, their service felt minimal and impersonal. I did not feel welcomed or taken care of. I would not stay here again, particularly given that there are many better, more modern options nearby.

We stayed at the Borg Hotel for 3 nights. It was in a lovely location, the decor was excellent and staff very helpful. Would definitely like to go back

Hotel Borg is the perfect location for your stay in Iceland. Centrally located, close to all shops and many sights within a very short walking distance. 2-3 minutes walk from the Airport Bus Stop #3 Lækjargata which is in front of the restaurant Scandinavian Kitchen and Hard Rock Cafe on Lækjargata street. The hotel is very comfortable, the staff very welcoming. Breakfast is buffet style with a large variety from cold to full English minus mushrooms..... Help yourself to coffee, tea, cereal, yogurt and much more. Our room was on the first floor at the rear of the hotel. Although it was onto a courtyard it was very quiet - this was winter and we had snow storms so I cannot vouch for the peacefulness in the summer months. Beds were very comfortable. Heating was underfloor in the shower-room. Towels provided were bath towels not bath sheets so might be on the small side for some guests but they were plentiful and changed as many times as requested - we were only there for a few days so didn't change our towels BUT we were asked every day if we wanted clean towels. We recommend this hotel and hope to be back again when the weather is warmer and we can visit sites - not possible during snow storms !!

Nice enough hotel, well located with clean, spacious and light filled rooms. Feels a little dated given the current trend for smaller darker rooms that seem to be omnipresent these days but the real problem was the truly terrible breakfast. Self service, limited unappealing options and laid out in a totally soulless room. A truly depressing start to any day.
