Aloft by Marriott Scottsdale

Apparently there's a "Scottsdale nightlife area" and this hotel is in it, so be aware: even with the complimentary earplugs, you may not sleep.

Good value for the location and amenities

I had a great stay at Aloft Scottsdale, but what really stood out was the incredible service from Nicaise. She was warm, professional, and truly went the extra mile. After I checked out and realized I’d left my passport in the room safe, I called in a panic—and she personally retrieved and secured my items until I could return. That kind of care isn’t just helpful—it’s rare. Huge thanks to Nicaise and the hotel team!

I was put in a handicapped room which I Did Not request or need. I was over charged by $15 for parking ( which was $15/day). I got charged for 4 days and was only there 3. There was no body lotion in the shower so I had to ask housekeeping to come and fill the container. I had to go to the front desk for extra towels. Our room never got cleaned and the trash never emptied in the 3 days I was there. Walls are paper thin so we heard everything from the room next door. I will NEVER stay in another Aloft hotel. It was a terrible experience.

Close to one of the worst experiences we’ve had in a hotel in a long time. We travel often (150+ nights a year in hotels) we booked this hotel based on the proximity to DT Scottsdale, the walk ability and pictures online. Nowhere online did it tell us we were booking in the middle of a bunch of nightclubs that have raging wild parties until 2am. We were informed however we could not get a refund due to noise from the front desk even though we had no idea there are 10 night clubs surrounding the hotel. Parties and loud people walking by at all hours of the night. The pictures online did a great job of falsifying this hotels lack of space, pool area and bar that never has anyone working. We saw employees sleeping at the front desk, had a room that was super dark because the lights didn’t work in our room, used a shower with no doors/enclosure and required us to stack towels on the floor as the water splashed everywhere and paid for a breakfast that was soggy and uncooked (tried the simplest item on the menu…a bagel and received a raw bagel not even toasted) . The pool is extremely small, thank goodness the weather was cold and the kids only tried to swim one day. There is no view, the property itself is poorly maintained and parking states ‘park at your own risk.’ Do not stay here.

This is a great hotel for 20yr olds. It is in the middle of the club scene. Thumping music all night every night. The room was dirty and used up. Very close to many restaurants though.

Room was not fully clean - food on carpet, shower not clean. It is located near night clubs and was very noisy at night. Hotel even offered ear plugs and white machines for the noise, but when we asked for them they were not available.
