Wonderful place…huge thank you to the front desk for their seamless service. Having upgraded to a suite for the second night I assumed there’d be a delay in accessing the new room but they made it available straight away. Restaurant staff were really attentive especially Mia who was very pleasant and welcoming throughout my stay.

Location is excellent on Parkers Piece and we were there for a goddaughters wedding for two nights. We were especially impressed by the staff who were all friendly and accommodating but particularly Toby who helped squeeze us in on parking which we had forgotten to pre book

The room was spacious enough and comfy; the shower was particularly good. The staff were all very friendly as well.

The only big frustration was that they had an event on Saturday night and we could hear the music playing until 2am. This was surprising since we were on the top floor. Obviously I have no problem with the hotel holding events, but I expected better sound insulation from a hotel of this quality.

Exceptionally good service

Stayed for two nights whilst in Cambridge for business meetings. The hotel is well located in the centre of Cambridge facing the Parkers Piece park. Check in was quick and easy, although I did have to give my personal credit card details as a guarantor despite it being a corporate booking. The hotel has a pleasant comfortable English style with a large adjoining bar / restaurant downstairs. My room was towards the top of the hotel, the rooms are ‘boutique’ with each having it’s own style; my small room did seem crowded with a double bed, desk and a couple of chairs, but was clean, cosy, quiet and comfortable (although the pillows were a little overstuffed for my personal liking). The Wi-Fi worked well and plenty of power sockets by the bed, the room had an iron and board which was a great addition. The ‘Victorian style’ bathroom was attractive with a good shower, although the flush on the toilet appeared to only occasionally connect with the mechanism. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent with a good selection to choose from, and the bar staff were friendly, attentive and helpful, in fact the whole staff were excellent. However I’m not sure the hotel offered great value for money, especially given it cost an additional £40 per night to park at the hotel.

All staff were very warm & accommodating to all our requests, resulting in a fantastic stay.
