The Eliot Hotel

An excellent location , close to a Green Line station, and exactly the level of quality we were hoping for. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. The room itself was spacious and well appointed, with plenty of drawer space and hanging space. And a really comfortable bed. Good wi-fi too!

There was only one downside. Our room didn't really have much of a view. In fact we were looking out over the rear of the hotel, facing the walls of other buildings, which meant that we didn't get much natural sunlight into the room. Below our window were the garbage bins, and on one morning we had the garbage truck collecting the rubbish at about 5am. It was very noisy, particularly as the truck was making a loud 'beep-beep' sound for the entire time it was there. At 5am!!. I didn't really get back to sleep after that.

Great location, convenient for walking or getting public transportation. Beautiful neighborhood. The hotel building is very handsome with everything clearly kept in excellent condition. Room itself was clean, nicely decorated and fairly spacious with an excellent, large closet. Bed very comfortable and bathroom ample with a big, if somewhat weird shower set up.

Room location was very disappointing. No light, ugly airshaft-like view of junk in an alley. To make it worse, room was adjacent to a large suite -- great for the family in there but not having to listen to kids and parents through thin walls. I reserved this room months in advance and expected a premium experience for the price. I also did not request an ADA room which may have accounted for the odd, double shower set-up. Rooms like this should be significantly discounted vs other rooms in the category to balance the negative feature(s). If the hotel had a comfortable, common spot to escape and relax, it would have helped. But there are virtually no public spaces.

Room was good size, high finish and really comfortable.

Not much. Not enough coffee, mugs and tea...

Excelente localização em Back Bay . Hotel com poucos quartos , muito confortavel . Construção antiga mas totalmente renovada . Deixou saudades ! Equipe muito simpatica e prestativa !

Location - elegance of the property - staff - space. I really loved the layout of the room - especially kitchen area. Small bathroom that others complained about did not bother me at all (its an older property with charm) as it was equipped with lovely towels and products.

Wish the attached restaurant Uni - had maintained its previous reputation. This is persnickety, but for this level of a hotel, I would have preferred fresh flowers around - not fake. Could use a few minimal updates.
