Downtown Dover Inn

looked like homeless shelter, smoking all over where they was not support to, advertise nice pool closed, coffee pot in room broke asked 4 time in 3 days never got one that worked, asked for new towels in room for last day never happened, breakfast really bad worst i ever seen bread an apple looked like it was used for softball in parking lot, The only good thing was had a accident on bed dumped coffee on it on day2 asked to change sheets there cleaned room did sheets and left towels Overall for 3 night stay not good!

The room and Hotel were filthy. Carpet stains everywhere. We have pictures. The kitchen, although unused, was not cleaned. In the morning, I looked under the appliance, and cereal and filth were present. Sink was uncleaned with brown stains along the bottom and sides.. The orange juice glass pourer still had the same amount of juice in from the night before, enough for 2 cups. And there was no tea. The pool was down when we were promised a pool. Also, there were pictures of a hot tub on the website, and non-existent. The bathroom in our room was dusty, and the sealant around the toilet/floor was filthy. The air conditioning unit was dripping water all over the carpet, keeping me awake. This is a source for mold, and I believe it has been going on for quite some time. When asked the desk to fix it, they told us they couldn't and couldn't provide us with another room. So inside, they put a towel and red bucket down on the wet carpet to allow the drips to fall. By morning, there was about 4" of water. Lastly and most importantly for safety concerns, the fire alarm was missing, and wires were exposed. AND the backdoor was never locked; it doesn't even latch!! I work as a nurse in a medical arena and all these concerns will be brought to the Board of Health's attention, the Local Health Department in Dover, the BBB, and will be written up in reviews.

The pool was down for maintenance but wasn't the fault of the hotel

We stayed for just one night hoping for a relaxing getaway, but unfortunately, our experience was far from restful. While the beds were decent, we were immediately put off by the cleanliness of the room. There was a used complimentary shampoo and conditioner left in the shower and a dirty towel bunched up in the bathroom — clearly, the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. On top of that, there was visible damage to the walls, including crayon marks, which made the space feel neglected. We were also woken up extremely early due to loud guests running and shouting in the room above us — the noise was constant and disruptive. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast, but by 8 a.m., there was hardly anything left except cereal, toast, and a few oranges. I grabbed an orange, only to find it was completely rotten — not surprising, considering there were flies everywhere in the dining area. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience. For the price we paid, we expected much better in terms of cleanliness, maintenance, and hospitality.

The second room we got was clean and quiet

I booked the rooms off Booking.com but he did not give us Booking.com rates which I think is bullsh#$. So we paid bout $150.00 extra a room just to sleep and shower.The all around feel of the place was shady. The room he gave us first smelt like marijuana so bad it took my breath away when I walked in there. He did give us another room upstairs by the green pool it was so nasty! Breakfast we didn't want to take a chance

This property was recently bought by a family and they’re trying to turn the place around from when it was once The Days Inn and pretty rundown. They were very friendly and helpful at check in and check out. Our beds were very clean and comfortable. The rest of the experience was average just because the building and facilities need some TLC. We also went to check out the breakfast and it doesn’t seem like they have that fully dialed in yet… so do not count on breakfast. There is a great cafe across the street! Again super friendly and helpful fine for one night if you want to be able to access a walkable situation in downtown Dover.

Not the best by any means. TV remote did not work AC was very noisy that it had to be shut off to sleep. If you are needing a place to just catch some sleep than this is it

It’s a 2 stories motel, but with really good renovations inside the rooms, everything looks neat and up to date. New appliances in the bathroom. Check in was easy, manager was nice and helpful. Electronic card keys. Ice machine on the first floor. Complementary breakfast (we slept in so i don’t know how exactly it was) I could totally recommend it if you don’t mind staying in a motel at all, that one is a good one.

It does have an indoor pool (was very important for us as my child is swimming every morning), huge indoor area, looking really nice) but something was off about the water. It was unusually green and cool, my daughter adores hotel pools but she swam a few seconds in this one and got out. I guess pool needs a little more careful maintenance because other than that hotel is very well kept
