Days Inn by Wyndham Farmville

I had not stayed at this Days Inn in some time because the last time I stayed, over 10yrs ago, it was an AWFUL experience. I recently stayed, June 27-29 and it was an EXCELLENT stay. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was filling and staff was very pleasant. I will stay here again.

This hotel was very convenient for what we had planned in Farmville. It was less than 15 minutes away from the 3 destinations we visited during our trip, and there was a Walmart and a ton of restaurants within walking distance of the property. The hotel also provided a great continental breakfast with an array of options. The only issue we had was that our room was filthy! The tables were greasy and sticky like someone had just eaten fried chicken on them, the floors were dirty with foot prints, the refrigerator had an awful smell, the microwave was filthy, and the bath tub was splattered with streaks. When we brought it to the attention of the employee that was cleaning rooms on our floor, he let us know that it was probably an employee that just started that left the room that way. Regarding the bath tub, he let us know that was the cleanest the tub could get, but as he said this, he began scrubbing the tub in front of us, in a way to make us see what he meant, and the stains started to come off. Overall, the property was decent for the occasion, and the staff was very helpful and kind about our room issue.

A guest was playing very loud music in the evening and again in the morning starting at 4:00 AM. Breakfast was not ready when advertised (45 minutes late).

The slot machines are my favorite

Bed was very comfortable and staff were very nice. Convenient location to Longwood University

Very noisy on the back part of the hotel. Street side. Very loud cars driving by and waking you up.
