great location, comfortable bed, very quiet

This is an unusual hotel - not what expected. This hotel appears to be a 70’s vintage former Condominium Everything looks old. Every unit has a kitchen, small dining area, small living room and bedroom on a strangely laid out split level; even a few garage spaces- some with Tesla chargers. Very poor room lighting - some LED lights were blinking. The overhead light in bedroom was missing the globe - so bare light bulbs. Hotel is across street from Asilomar conference center - it’s old too. Daily breakfasts are typical and adequate with no variance from day to day. Other nearby hotel are less cost per night. I likely wont stay here again.

Everything about the service, room, and stay was great, only suggestion is to improve the breakfast quality. Items included refrigerated hard boiled eggs, cereal, bagels, and toast, not the usual selection we’ve experienced at other Best Westerns. Not a dealbreaker but something to consider.

For my trip the location was perfect! This is my preferred BW when I am volunteering. I will be coming back in the future.

The furniture is very stained. I was able to cover it with towels. I'm sure it is no ones fault, just wear and tear over the years.

We have stayed here twice and had very good experiences. No issues with check-in and the room is clean. The property is older and could probably use some cosmetic upgrades, but has been maintained and it didn't detract from our stay. The rooms themselves must be well insulated because we didn't have any issues with outside or hallway noise. Our favorite feature is the adjoining rooms, which is perfect for my family of 4 with the kids both under the age of 5. This setup allowed the kids to take naps and the adults could be in the other room or sit on the balcony without disturbing them. The continental breakfast is standard: cereal, waffles, pastries, and fruit. It is about a 5 minute drive to the aquarium and beach access is even closer, though not quite walkable.

The hotel felt homey and comfortable. The rooms were clean and the included breakfast had many options and was delicious. If I were to stay in Monterey again, I’d choose here!

La colazione era inadeguata.. poco varia e insufficiente per la mole di persone. La sala dedicata alla colazione piccolissima, con soli 4 tavoli, uno da 6 e gli altri da 4. Un piccolo gazebo all’esterno consentiva di consumare la colazione anche fuori, ma comunque insufficiente per le esigenze di tutti gli ospiti
