State Plaza Hotel

La amabilidad del staff de recepción, el señor Kibrom y las otras personas de recepción fueron siempre muy atentos y estuvieron dispuestos a aclarar y a atender nuestras inquietudes. El señor gerente del hotel, nos permitió ingresar a la habitación alrededor de las 10:00 AM , lo cual fue muy bueno porque veníamos muy cansados del viaje. La comodidad del apartamento, con una cocina amplia, bien dotada de elemntos para preparar y servir alimentos. Tiene dos camas dobles muy cómodas, un baño amplio y cómodo y todo muy bien aseado y en excelentes condiciones. Incluyen agua y cafe y aromáticas. Diariamente hicieron aseo a la habitación y reabastecieron el agua y los elementos de aseo del baño. La ubicación es perfecta, a solo unas cuadras del Obelisco y demás zonas de interés. Muy fácil la conectividad con los sitios de interés, caminando, en metro o en bus. La zona es muy segura.

Creí que el servicio incluía desayuno y no fue así. Había un ruido de maquinaria, debido a que en la vecindad están reestaurando un eficicio.

The hotel felt extremely dated, dingy, and poorly maintained. The room and hallways smelled unpleasant, the carpets in both the unit and common areas were dirty, and the exposed sprinkler system made the property feel unfinished and neglected. It did not feel like a 3-star hotel at all. I left after less than 12 hours because I did not feel comfortable staying there.

The location. 10mins from major attractions.

You had to walk some stairs in order to get to the elevator.

It was clean and spacious. It’s walking distance to the metro and some memorial.

I think it’s not necessarily the property’s fault but there was a construction going on beside the property that made a noise early in the morning.

I chose the hotel based on cost and proximity to my work trip's needs, but had not looked at the rooms. For the price, these rooms are fantastic. Next time I find myself traveling to DC for work, especially for a longer trip, I will most certainly book here again as it has all of the amenities needed to act as a home away from home. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was great, and access to the fitness center was a major perk.

Please take the following with a grain of salt as these aren't by any means deal-breakers/major issues. The parking options were full save for an off-site parking garage, which the staff gave me directions to so I could use that. Worth noting (not a hotel issue so much as a Maps issue) - the parking garage only shows up on searches as Public Parking, not GW Parking. Another factor was the timing of my arrival, as I got to the hotel at close to midnight, and so my experience is not necessarily a reflection of the regular availability of parking during earlier hours. The fitness center, while nice, is a little cramped.

The room was larger than most and the most unexpected surprise was the kitchen. I didn't remember reading that it had a full-size kitchen so when I walked in and found that I was tickled pink. There was a full-size fridge, microwave, stovetop for cooking and had a toaster. This would be great for families who are traveling and want to save money. I chose this hotel because of the vicinity to the Vietnam Memorial site. It's only a two block walk to the memorial sites and all of it was flat. I would stay here again over and over.

The only thing that I can say is that I wish the bathroom had an exhaust fan. After showers it got kind of steamy.

Erittäin ystävällinen henkilökunta. Sijainti oli erinomainen ulkoministeriön naapurissa ja lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä Valkoisesta talosta ja muista kohteista.

Remontin meteli häiritsi päiväsaikaan. Ravintolaan kulku hieman hankala autohallin läpi.
