Best location. Bessie (World's Greatest Concierge!), who 1) walked me through at check-in and helped solve incorrect deposit amount demanded of me initially, 2) had housekeeping unlock a locked window in my room to enable fresh air, 3) saw to it that a portable air freshener and heater were brought up to my room promptly upon my discovering that hotel shut off both central air conditioning and heating, and 4) always gave helpful tips and guides. Bessie actually listens to customers and pays attention to their precise needs (a fresh change from the usual "ting bu dong" response by many in China), making my stay at JEN pleasant and worthwhile^

Ageing facilities & equipments. Late at night, upon taking a shower, the hair dryer suddenly malfunctioned. Upon my request, a new hair dryer was brought to my room, but, this replacement dryer did not work. I made another request, but a working hair dryer was not brought to my room until about half an hour later by which time my hair had dried itself.

Service is excellent and location is central and convenient. Particularly I would like to thank the manager Bessie Wang for her niceness and help

The actual price was much higher than agreed by booking.com

It was easy to find the hotel. The room rates are very reasonable.

Although it seemed to be probably in the central area of the city, we couldn’t find decent eating places near the hotel while the hotel does not have dining facilities except for breakfast, where fruit juices were served in tea or coffee cups! When they found us struggling with a hotel staff using the Google translation tool, a couple of long term hotel guests interrupted us and recommended a small restaurant some 600 meters away. I wondered how Trioadvisor ranks it No.2 out of 400+ hotels in Shenyang!

Facilities are out of date, especially the bathroom, shower in the bathtub.

The size of the room was great. Breakfast was also pretty decent, with lots of options. The staff at this hotel is very friendly. Good location, a few blocks away from the metro station and the train station.

I wish this hotel had a water dispenser to fill up a water bottle, so it would be possible to avoid drinking out of plastic water bottles all of the time. In the bathroom, the shower head was oddly close to the wall, which made showering somewhat awkward. A few guests smoked in the elevator, which was not good.
