"A bit isolated but reasonable good"

8.0

This was my first time in Sakhalin and I hadn't high expectations in relation to the hotel. I was very well impressed. Rooms are very comfortable, worm and has all what you need. Food and breakfast is not the best but personel is very friendly even with limitations to speak other lenguage than russian. Location is far from city centre so unless you go for a walk to a nearby park, then you need to take a taxi if you wish to try a local restaurant.

"Good hotel and location"

8.0

Great hotel, location and service. Definitely one of the best hotels in Sakhalin. If you decide to stay here, get the ski package deal, it's cheaper. Make sure that you get breakfast as well, as there is not many places to eat around the city. It has a sauna as well, it's free for the people staying there. Overall, would definitely come back

"One of the best in the city"

8.0

Probably one of the top if not the best one in town. Very convenient for business trips and business events. Good food, nice location. Rather on the expensive side but pretty good value for money considering rates in other hotels in Yuzhno.

"дорого, но прекрасно"

8.0

it wasn't the first time, we stayed at Santa during our Sahalin trips, and most probably not the last. The hotel has everything, we need. It is located in a quiet, foresty area just outside the city, something that suits us perfect. There is a good internet connection, a decent breakfast, a couple of bars/restaurants in the area, as well as sauna/jakuzzi, free to use for the hotel's guests. We enjoyed our stay.

"Remotely located but really nice"

10.0

Santa is my favorite hotel in Yuzhno, it was designed and built by the Japanese, so it has this calming peaceful atmosphere. The service has always been great, the food in the restaurant is delicious but slightly expensive, so include taxi rides in your budget. There is a small convenience store/gift shop on the first floor. There are no other restaurants or stores nearby in that area. The have a small spa, and an open terrace, the surroundings are very picturesque. The wi-fi is free, but it's not a stable connection, seems to be on and off. The stuff is friendly and they seem to care for you, which doesn't happen very often in Russian hotels.

"Friendly but strangely empty"

6.0

Friendly staff, huge rooms with comfy beds, 5MB daily wifi allowance, gym, hot tubs, pool/snooker room, cross country skiing... ...but strangely empty when I was there, and all one step away from being what westerners would consider "normal". Nothing you could quite put a finger on, but could definitely be considered quirky! Fairly mediocre food in the main restaurant, but the sushi in the Japanese restaurant is pretty good. Would also recommend the red caviar, sour cream and pancake starter from the Russian menu in the main restaurant, and the parma ham platter served in the downstairs bar. Oh, and the pancakes stuffed with rice and mince on days when they set out the breakfast buffet. Mmm...
