Best Western International Speedway Hotel

Friendly male staff at check-in quickly changed one room when we reported it smelled of smoke.

1. rooms are looking renovated on the booking site, not so much in reality. 2. The rooms were supposed to be no-smoking, but we had to switch one because it was smelling of smoke, and we understand you are not asking for an hefty deposit to avoid infraction to the rule like all others hotels do. 3. Our TV was working, but I could not access any channel or any streaming; No paper with instructions in the room, no one answered the phone, at 10-11 PM I walked back at the concierge where a very annoyed lady offered only this advise "go to channel 10"; the pre-set channels available were only few and none was "10"

Pool

Only provided 2 towels per room even though we scheduled 3 guests. Had to ask multiple times to get towels. No towels provided for pool. Baby cockroaches were seen in bathroom. Housekeeping left a used bandaid on the hallway floor the entirety of our 4 day stay. Floors were stained. Hotel smelled of cigarettes in the hallway a couple nights. No microwave in room or lobby.

The location of the property was great.

The staff seemed a bit incompetent. When we arrived the man checked me and my three kids in to someone else’s room that only had a king bed eve I booked two double beds. When I addressed the issue he told me I booked it that way when I know I didn’t. I showed him my confirmation and he just switched my key card to another room- great, I thought. WELL the reservation he checked me in under was for a one night stay not the two nights I paid for. So when we left to go out that next morning, the staff came in our room and cleaned all of our stuff out, including groceries I had bought for the beach. I was out from 8 am until about 7 pm so when I arrived my kids and I were locked out. They wanted me to pay for another night, which I refused. We lost an hour at check in and another hour the next day waiting for this to be resolved. Super stressful solo traveling with three kids under 10. In the end they moved us to ANOTHER room for the last night but all my groceries were trashed :( I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here and if you do, DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING AT CHECK IN.

Convenient location, great breakfast, excellent staff, bed was very comfortable

Water leaking on floor when showering, carpet worn and left black lint on my socks

Had to move to three different rooms. Had roaches in two of them and then the other one the AC was broke.

Roaches all over the room just nasty then lied about double room with two double beds only got one room with two beds
