Days Inn by Wyndham Milan Sandusky South

We tried to cancel our reservation a week in advance through hotels.com and didn’t get a response about a refund. I called the hotel itself and they told me I had to deal with hotels.com because that is how I booked it. We didn’t end up needing the room due to an emergency and our trip being canceled but did not get a refund. Poor customer service from the hotel and hotels.com. My husband uses this hotel often when doing fishing charters on the lake. I think we will look for another one who is a bit more understanding and prompt with customer service.

Saw a nice size roach in the breakfast area. Found someone elses clothes left in the room so it wasnt thoroughly cleaned beforehand. Couldnt get the tv to work. It wouldnt connect to the internet.

The first room they gave me had a cat pee smell that overwhelmed me at first opening the door.My Eyes were burning and tearing up. They did change my room immediately Then I was told the hot tub was not working. Later I went to the pool and saw the tub was working. Unfortunately someone has a bar of soap as was washing in the hot tub. Very shocking. The morning breakfast area was dark when I came out at 9am. When I asked for some milk it was received as an interruption to that woman day. She went and got me some milk for my cereal but it was not a pleasant exchange.

Staff, room cleaning and smells

It was very satisfying and a pleasure can't wait for the next time I visit

Staff was great, room wasn’t 5 star but for the low price I got the room for I was more than happy with the experience.

Family of 5 with 3 children staying one night on a visit to Cedar Point. Adjoining rooms. 106 + 107. First floor. Rooms have exterior doors to the parking lot. Office door locks at 11pm until 6:30am when breakfast is served. Room fixtures and decor was dated. Dust came out of the A/C vents when we turned them on. There were dead bugs on the beds near the pillows. Breakfast area is small. Waffles were okay. Locals told us this motel was not in a good part of town. We won't be staying here again. Pay extra and upgrade to a better place to stay.
