DoubleTree by Hilton Memphis

In Memphis for business. We always try to book a Hilton property when we travel. We have plants in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Memphis and Oregon. It's always easy to find a Hilton property. The Double Tree in Memphis is very nice. Friendly staff and a.nive restaurant and bar, if you want to stay in. However there are several restaurants within walking distance. They have a Top Golf simulator in the hotel. The hotel does not offer free breakfast. They do have a breakfast buffet.

The free airport shuttle was a big plus for us as Uber and other prebooked transfers were very pricey. Check in was good, and the room was fine clean and tidy, we had opted for breakfast included and the selection was fine with as much free coffee as you could drink. Even the Hotle onsite restaurant and bar had good service and some great meal deals. There are other restaurant’s close by, but way higher prices. The only down side we could find was the location was a fair way out, and was not on any of the local trips pick up and drop off points, which meant getting an Uber to the start pick up, when going on a booked tour, and another one on the way back. No big deal, but if you have a hire car then this hotel is in a nice quite area.

This hotel never ceases to please! The staff is always courteous and professional. The rooms are large, basic, and clean. Fitness Center and pools are not overly fancy, and are perfect for this traveler. The location is convenient to the family and sites I visit, but really, everything in Memphis is easy to access. Groceries, retails stores, adn entertainment are within walking distance.

The front desk staff was amazing.

Only 2 issue. No key cards but I get it. And the toilet keep flushing.

Immediately as entered, we felt welcomed and in a good space. They made sure to explain all the benefits and percs the hotel offers. That made us be aware and easily able to adapt into the room and property. Any doubt or worry I had before then, easily went away.

Nothing at all. Everything was up to par and a great experience. I have zero complaints.

Location is good

It was very dirty, there was a cockroach in the room. I couldn’t imagine before to meet with cockroach in a Hilton hotel !!! I’m very often in hotels but it was unbelievable. We couldn’t try to eat a breakfast after cockroach hunting. Please clean the hotel from these animals! Sorry, it is the truth what I can’t accept.
