Tapestry by Hilton The Peery Salt Lake City Downtown, UT

The room we were in required a step up into the bathroom which in the middle of the night I nearly broke my neck. The parking is not available we paid $25 per night in public parking. when we arrived we could get no help with our baggage and the elevator was so small you could only have one person in the elevator with your luggage. Recognizing this is a boutique hotel there are some poor points people should be aware of - this is a hundred year old building while beautifully maintained there should be better services and safety considerations for business travelers.

People were loud in the hallways late at night and early in the morning. The walls were thin and we could hear everything

The hotel is nicely remodeled and still retains its charming period vibes. The only bummer is the aggressive floral stink that assaults your nose sensors. It’s so, so powerful. And pervasive: the lobby, the elevator, the hallways. Walking downtown, we pass people on the sidewalk and can tell they are staying at The Perry because they leave grandma floral breezes in their wake. Wow.

Great hotel with lots of character in a great downtown location. No parking included, so you have to pay $25/night in a public lot.

I appreciated the kindness of the staff at the front desk. The young man on duty at the front desk helped me find my phone I lost while at dinner one night

Check in was a breeze and the room was perfect. I like having walking access to places.

Bars around this place are nice but noise outside to 2AM was more than I expected, the parking lot around this hotel is very active late at night.

This hotel was not flexible with us on cancelling our reservation even though we could not make it due to a sick child. We even had hotels.com reach out to try and negotiate with them but they refused and still charged us for the full amount even though we did not stay. It also took two days to resolve because a “manager” was never available. Due to their lack of customer service and being unwilling to work with us, I would not recommend this hotel. We also found out, after booking, that this hotel has a lore of being haunted (google it).

A great stay. The room was spacious, quiet, & very comfortable.
