Hotel Flora and Fauna

The location was good and the facility was clean and the grounds were also nice. It was a quiet location.

The smoke detector started beeping at 1:00 am and it kept beeping until 7:30 am when my husband went to the local grocery store to purchase a battery to replace it in the smoke detector and it finally stopped beeping. Also, the hot tub did not work.

Nice property and location, walls are a little thin, could hear the neighbors noise.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of my stay at this hotel! I was traveling alone, and originally only selected Hotel Flora and Fauna because it was within my price range and seemed to have good reviews. However, I was so happy with how clean and well-kept the room was, how easy check in and check out were, and how it was so easy to feel the small-town charm of Wimberley while staying there. The only reason I rated "Service" as a 3, is because it is a no-contact hotel, and there were no staff that I had a need to interact with. With that said, if you prefer having people on-call to wait on you or take requests, this might not be the hotel for you. However, for my purposes of a 1-night solo business trip, I enjoyed this format of communication very much.

My husband and I live in Austin and we were looking for a quick getaway to Wimberly and a stay that was close to the square. Flora and Fauna was exactly what we were looking for!! This Hotel is very close to the square and is pet friendly! We will definitely be back!!!

This was our first visit. The hotel is small, attractive and comfortable. It was a Monday and there were very few guests. Unfortunately, our room #4 was next to a room that needed extra cleaning and/or maintenance and the activity was annoying. Worse than that, in the room on the other side of us, an actual or wannabe opera singer played loud music and practiced his vocals. The walls are paper-thin and the noise ruined our time at the hotel. We'll give it another try sometime, but the experience was not satisfactory.

Tried this precious accommodation on our recent girls trip . So well done! It was magical and very quiet . Each room is so perfectly designed . Check in was automated and easy . Checkout was the same , 5 stars all the way for the rooms and stay. Just a few footnotes . Not walking distance to town as noted unless you are planning a very long walk. If you have any issues , there is not a direct number . We had a problem with the door release code and we kept having to nudge the reservation line and that person was pretty unaccommodating at night ! Finely figured it out. Overall the stay was over the top .
