Hotel Flora and Fauna

The rooms were very up to date, roomy and comfortable. We very much enjoyed are stay and will book again. The hotel is a short drive or walk to downtown area. The staff were very responsive to any needs.

Not enough parking

The absolute BEST place for a couples trip! We normally rent 1 big house but with 6 couples, somebody is always going to get stuck on the pull out sofa or bunk beds! Here, everyone had their own king size bed & their own bathroom! The pool was an excellent hang out spot for everyone! Everything was perfect! We all raved about how comfortable the beds were! We can’t wait to plan another trip back here again!!!

The property and room were very nice and clean. We really appreciated the decaf and caffeinated coffee with creamers and sugar packets. We also appreciated the ice cubes in the freezer, soft bathrobes, and soft blanket for the sofa bed. The room was nice and cool, but we didn't know where the thermostat was to adjust the temperature. It wasn't a big problem though.

My husband and I went to Wimberly for a quick getaway. Unfortunately there is no getting away from mosquitoes in TX so pack your bug spray. Hotel Flora and Fauna was the perfect retreat from Austin. Upon arriving, the large trees and animal murals were so inviting. We couldn’t wait to see the rest of the property. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We especially loved all the extra touches to make you feel at home during your stay. Every room had a cute table for two outside that was great for enjoying morning coffee. We enjoyed an early evening swim and loved being able to gaze up at all the stars. Hotel Flora and Fauna is quite a unique property. There are restaurants within walking distance and the location is great! We can’t wait to go back with friends.

Incredible weekend! Upon arriving we went straight to our room to unload our bags. The room was very clean and everything looked great. The old school record player and records were a very cool touch. We had two kids and our dog with us so the extra space and kitchenette were really nice to have. They even provided a doggy bed and treats for Sonny! The kids couldn't wait to jump in the pool so we did that for an hour or so before dinner. Dinner was at Community Pizza very close by, in the square. What an awesome place for the kids to run around! Great wood fired pizzas, solid margaritas and live music. Kids were beat when we got back so we put them to bed and then hit the hot tub for a bit. Everything was so nice and clean. What a great trip! We can't wait to come back!

DOGS EVERYWHERE! Beware of this place unless you want to share your vacation with dogs barking! Dogs barking and disrupting an otherwise peaceful place. It is like a dog pound. Many dogs everywhere. I would have said something to the staff but there isn't any. No where on Expedia does this site say pet friendly. And mosquitos in our room by the dozens every day probably because of all of the dog poop in the grass attracts them and other insects. Pool is nice. Parking is gravel.

Great stay at the Fauna & Flora. They have nice rooms and a small pool. The rooms have individual AC units, so the rooms were cool in the Texas summer heat. The hotel is located near the center of Wimberly, so its convenient for all the shops, restaurants, market days, etc in the center of Wimberly. We are wheelchair disabled and there is one of the twelve rooms that is setup with grab bars for the bath and toilet. We tried to book this, but it was already booked. The hotel said we could switch to this room, but the next day said we couldn't. It wasn't as convenient in a regular room, but we made it work. A tip is that if you are disabled, you need to reserve the ADA disability room early (like months) and hopefully, able bodied people won't reserve it.
