Rodeway Inn & Suites New Paltz - Hudson Valley

We had a very good experience. The only thing that made things a little difficult for us is that the bed in the room was very high off the floor. For shorter people, like my wife, that made getting into and out of bed harder than it should.

Clean and the price.

Some of the furnishings are older but the rooms are always clean. My room was spacious, had a Keurig, a nice TV, and a new microwave and fridge. The property layout is convenient and the common areas and parking are well lit and on camera. There are vending machines and an ice machine convenient to the rooms. I plan to stay here whenever I’m in New Paltz.

Fifth time staying there for work in the area. It’s clean. It’s cheap. Fast Wi-Fi. Property is dated but very functional. Good AC and heat. They have a few vending machines. Restaurants are a 2 mile drive away.

The gentlemen at the front desk were very nice and accommodating. Friendly and personally delivered us an extra pillow.

The external door from outside to the inside hallway was next to our room. We didnt think anything of it at first. However all night long that door opened and closed loudly. On top of that, the air from that door caused a suction to our door making even more noise each time. Not only did was hear the open and slam shut of the external door, but our door then shook in unison. Around 1:00am the non stop opening and closing of the door finally subsided. It started again around 7:00am. Truly we did not sleep, it was horrible and we just needed a quick overnight stay so chose it for price and convenience. We were exhausted and annoyed. Part of me wanted to ask for my money back, but I felt bad doing so. We would have slept better in our car rather than waste 135.00. It was horrible.

Location was convenient. Surprisingly clean for how outdated it looked, so that was a big plus.

It needs an overhaul, more than just a new coat of paint. Old carpeting, and bathtub floor was soft (water damage?). It is sad that this is what $150 will get you these days.

Whenever I want to go to Minnewaska or Mohonk preserve I like staying here because it is easy to get to from this hotels location.

I liked everything, except the coffee machine. I was not able to make a cup of coffee in the morning. 😰

Coffee machine was not able to make a cap of coffee in the morning. I also did not find a way to make hot water for tea.

It was ok. Could have been cleaner. Room smelled funny. Vending machine was pretty empty.
