Quality Inn Colchester - Burlington

The location was perfect. Very helpful to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. The staff was great, particularly Tandra. She was so sweet, polite, helpful, and attentive.

The facility is not well maintained: stains on the walls and ceiling, and the concrete floor to the room is falling apart and chipping away. The toilet was running every 5 seconds; very distracting and a giant waste of water.

The staff was wonderful. The room was decent but there was visible accumulated dust on multiple surfaces.(mini fridge & side table) It wasn't residue from a rag etc.. it was thick. It made me wonder about what was less obvious and I felt compelled to clean it myself for my own comfort.(this wasn't me being picky it was VERY noticeable!)

See above... cleanliness issues. Also I was called early)10:30 regarding checkout. I was on a business call & found it invasive. I've never experienced that before

A lot broken in the room

The room was cozy and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. I was also impressed with how clean and well-maintained the bathrooms were—tidy spaces always make a big difference in the overall experience. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast, which exceeded my expectations. It was delicious and a pleasant surprise. Additionally, the availability of free parking made things very convenient, and the inn’s proximity to nearby food options was a definite plus. Overall, aside from the initial check-in experience, my stay was very pleasant and enjoyable.

My experience was quite disappointing—primarily due to the check-in process and the level of customer service I received. Upon arrival, I spent nearly an hour trying to complete my check-in. The receptionist informed me that I needed to pay a $25 refundable deposit, which came as a surprise since this could have been easily included or communicated during the initial booking process. As an international traveler already facing issues with my card, this situation quickly became stressful. I asked if I could pay the deposit in cash, but the receptionist declined without offering any alternative solutions. This lack of flexibility and support left me standing at the front desk for an extended period, trying to resolve something that should have been simple. Due to the inconvenience and poor experience, I decided to shorten my stay from two nights to one. When I asked about a refund for the unused night, the receptionist told me it would be handled in the morning by a different staff member, as she would be off duty. However, when I returned the next morning to check out, she was still there. This made me feel misled and raised concerns about the transparency and honesty of the service. Overall, the receptionist was neither pleasant nor helpful, and the experience significantly impacted my stay. I hope the management takes steps to improve communication, flexibility, and customer service to ensure future guests do not face similar issues.
