Comfort Inn Sun City Center - Ruskin - Tampa South

Perspective. I last stayed at a 'High End' hotel about four miles from here a few months ago. It offered 'NOTHING' this Comfort Inn offered. Actually it was lacking by a large margin in the area of breakfast. For almost triple what it cost for my stay, This will be my destination in the future. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, flat screen, coffee maker ( did lack creamer and sugar) . I like my coffee black... Closet with ironing board and iron. Sink open to room view with soaps etc also in shower. Plenty of towels. Screaming fast WiFi free. I was next to a stairwell on the ground floor . BBQ , and buisness next door. If you sleep light the traffic noise may be an issue. That all went away around 10:00pm. Bathroom is small but I m travelling alone so no issues there. Entrance to room is from outside, but parking is close to room . The door has multiple security locks if one is paranoid. :-), again I like my coffee black..... Let me stress this room offered everything except internal room access. Ground floor is a little noisy before 10:00pm. Oh, the A/C was jam-up ! It is a under window unit so you will hear it cycle. After an hour or so I no longer noticed it. What was impressive comparatively to the triple the price differential is the free breakfast. Waffles, with attendant, bagels, eggs, bacon, biscuits, gravy, fruits various selection. The breakfast area as the room was is spotless. There is a well maintained outside pool and what appeared to be a hot tub or Jacuzzi. All fenced and only accessed through the lobby. Location is a minute or so from I-75. There are several restaurants within minutes. A BBQ under a two minute walk. A Denny's straight through the nearest intersection. Plus a couple other restaraunts under a minute drive unless you get caught at the light. Covered lobby access for check in. This is Florida after all. My room had a king bed, with plenty of lighting, a large mirror over the sink, plus a full length mirror in the room proper. Again something the triple thecost didn't have. Two story, didn't see an elevator, I honestly didn't look. Ice machine, and softdrink machine in central breezeway. Hope this helps .

The hotel was exceptional for our needs. The location was right where we needed to be. Clean and the breakfast was good. The room service was efficient and timely.

My biggest complaints are not with hotel but with the car rental portion of the Booking.com package. The flight and hotel went flawlessly. The car rental with NextCar was a disaster. I would like to have a representative from Booking.com get in touch with me. Regards, Paul Schwartz

Location was great. Easy access to all places I needed. Night clerk was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was generally clean. The lobby was wonderful and comfortable. My room was a bit dusty in areas and floors felt a.bit gritty. Had to hold the toilet handle down until flushed. Hot and cold water were reversed in the bathroom sink I was startled by a raccoon I walked up upon stealing trash from an outside receptacle. There were many breakfast choices. Biscuits were good but eggs, sausage and gravy left a lot to be desired. Waffles were yummy. I was grateful for toast options, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juice and milk. Overall, it was a good place to stay for a solo traveler.
