Down a long unmade road, on the North of an island, off the main island of Tasmania, off the mainland of Australia is this fantastically designed and appointed cabin in a lovely remote area. We stayed in Blue Wren. Well worth the journey to discover. The quality and build with top notch appliances is very cosseting and the creatures that visit in the evenings great to see. The area is great for Echidnas! Everything about this property is done extremely well and deservedly gains awards. An hour's SLOW drive around, toward Dennis point in the evening had us seeing 8 Eastern Quolls and 11 Bush tailed Possums, plus the more common Pademelons and Wallabies; we had gone out hoping to catch a glimpse of one Quoll!

The only thing that would improve our stay would have been a longer one!

Amazing location and beautiful accommodation. All equipment and cooking facilities were first rate. Everything we needed for our 3 days was provided.

There was nothing we didn’t like

It had a great view and it was very lovely and quiet. The room was very comfortable and we got nice complimentary snacks and breakfast foods.

The breakfast provided was a wonderful surprise. Much thought has gone into the set up and facilities at this wonderful place .

The pod was lovely. Very isolated so make sure you take all your food - it is very well set up to cook in. It was idyllic - intent bush above a lovely bay surrounded by quolls and wallabies - who played under the deck. Gorgeous!

Beautiful, tranquil location.

This was a very peaceful location, with plenty of opportunity to see the local wildlife. The pod was well laid out with a spacious deck and comfortable seating. The access road to the units is single lane gravel, rutted and extremely steep, and should be noted as 4wd only. We had to back out all the way in our front wheel drive vehicle. The beach is close by, but isn’t like the white sandy beaches in other parts of the island. It’s more mud than sand, however there is easy access to oysters, and fishing rods and tackle are also supplied with plenty of places to try your luck. The unit faces south onto the bay and would be a great place to watch an aurora, or just stargaze. A switch to disable the many solar garden lights would help with this- they stayed on for most of the night.

Cosy and comfortable property with good facilities. Very quiet with gorgeous surroundings overlooking the water. Great to see the Pademelon’s, Wallabies and Bandicoot’s around the grounds.
