Casa Gecko

Its rare that I working in the service business myself too, use the word outstanding but in this situation its the best one to describe my stay. From the arrival/check in through the entire stay where Denia and her father were helpful in a way far beyond what usually would be expected to the check out where she even if super early Sunday morning, got up and helped me with ordering a taxi to the airport to make sure I caught my flight. The studio apartment was perfect and equipped with everything needed. Usefull information about the bathroom/shower; there was both water pressure and warm water (those having travelled in Mexico will know that its definitely not always like that) The 15 - 20 minutes walking to downtown/Zocalo not a problem at all. I can only give the place my very best recommandations and am definitely coming back myself

Very clean, cosy, calm environment and facilities, a host that is punctual and makes sure everything is allright.

It is a little of a walk away from the city centre, around 20 minutes, but it is a easy walk. Sometimes you hear the noises oh the neighbours quite well.

Nice and tidy place. Very comfy bed. Family place. They were really helpful. Good and safe walking to the center. There is a dog barking but it's Mexico, so it's everywhere :)

Floor could be a bit cleaner

Really nice , cozy and comfortable room with a little balcony. In general it’s really quiet there, the communication was really, really good and they was really flexible, we also could leave our luggage there for one night, close to ADO busstation

far away from the center, when it was dark we didn’t felt so safe in this area (but maybe its just our feeling and for you it’s different)

Is a cozy place. Makes you feel like home.

Dog next door will bark all night.

The bed was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. The kitchen was well equipped with a coffee maker. The area feels safe and friendly.

The property next door has dogs, they bark all night. Not great if your a light sleeper.

I had such a lovely stay at Casa Gecko. The family was so warm with me, and open to suggest anything they thought I might like. I'm vegetarian and so they wrote out restaurants they thought I'd like and also let me know of what events were going on in town so that I could join in. The house is really clean and well kept up, the kitchen has everything you need for comforts, there's hot water and strong wifi and the beds are absolutely luxurious. (Wow... really love those beds!)

We loved Casa Gecko. Super chill and really clean. Lovely and great hospitality from the staff. They even held onto my sneakers for two weeks until I could come back and pick them up. They really go the extra mile. Definitely recommend to come stay here.
