Die Sachen am Frühstücksbuffet schmeckten alt und abgestanden. Im Zimmer war es zu kalt ( draußen 10 Grad) und die Heizung war schon abgestellt. Das Personal war nicht sonderlich bemüht, Extrawünsche wie Massagetermin zu vereinbaren wurde erst vergessen und dann freundlich kühl abgelehnt. Kein Niveau eines 4 Sterne- Hotels.

Location is just perfect & the car park super handy and so close to the hotel since Lille is now a "no car" city center.

Great location for a 4* hotel with easy access to the town, but sadly our experience inside was less than satisfactory. We stayed in room 108, described as a ‘Privilege Double Room’ and found that while it was larger than a regular double it was below ‘Privilege’ standard: it was a cold weather weekend in May & there was no room heating aside from a heated towel rail in the bathroom; the aircon/heating control panel was locked so unable to adjust room temperature; the shower cubicle had a hand held shower head so not possible to shower; the separately toilet was difficult yo say the least to enter having to contort around the basin to enter and then shut the door and the toilet wash-basin had just a single cold water tap. Breakfast was in the View restaurant which is really designed as a nightclub - very dark and slinky. Staff very pleasant but the whole hotel experience felt more 3* than 4*.

The location of the hotel was excellent, right in the middle of old Lille, and none of the restaurants we went to were further than a 10 minute walk. Breakfasts were good although design of the restaurant meant bottlenecks with people walking to and from the buffet from their tables.

Our room was big, but the shower room was tiny and only one person could fit in at one time. We stayed in room 108, a Privilege room, and found that there was no heating (it was cold in May) apart from an electric towel rail in the shower room. It was so cold we had to leave this on all night. The aircon/heating panel was locked so we were unable to change the room temperature. The shower cubicle had a shower head that was very high up on the wall and its height could not be changed as it was fixed to the wall so we had to shower ourselves by holding the shower head in one hand and then turning off the water and dropping the shower head while washing/conditioning hair etc. We did not receive any "Exclusive Carlton Lille skin care products" as were advertised for a Privilege room. In fact there was only a shower/hand soap container and not even any conditioner or body lotion. Our bedside cabinets didn't have any drawers or storage space and the bathroom had no shelves. The separate WC had only a cold water tap for washing hands and no hot water. We also did not have a sofa as depicted in the photos on the website and just had two dining-type chairs. On our second and third days the housekeeping staff did not leave us any more milk or tea sachets. I forgot to mention that in order to use the kettle, you had to unplug the television.

Mail explication parking non envoyé, nous avons du téléphoner nous même pour connaître l’emplacement. Parking situé au 5eme étage avec 10 tournants très étroits (jantes griffées). Service en chambre non dispo à partir de 23h or sur le site il est stipulé un service 24h/24 donc mensonger. Pommeau central de la douche ne fonctionne pas juste la douchette. Petit déjeuner succulent mais avec des travaux au marteau pic à 9h30 du matin…. Le personnel de la réception est très administratif mais pas professionnel. À aucun moment ils nous ont demandé si le séjour s’était bien passé. À 250€ la nuit, ce n’est certainement plus le Carlton d’avant.
