Days Inn by Wyndham Waco Near Downtown/University

DO NOT STAY HERE. This is the most disgusting motel I have ever been to, and the staff will lie to you and a booking agency about a refund. There was vomit on the wall outside the bathroom, blood on a towel(it was semi fresh),boogers on the bathroom walls, hair in the bathtub, bugs crawling on the ceiling in the bathroom, trash on the bathroom floor, and it smelled like they tried to cover up chain smokers living there. I went to the office to tell them, and they said they’d refund me because they didn’t have any other rooms. The girl faked sending the refund information to hotels.com, and told me I just needed to call them to get it done. When hotels.com called the hotel he told them they were preparing a room for us, and we just left. It was 10:39 at night and we just arrived in town. Our kid had a tournament early the next morning, and we didn’t have time on our side. I would’ve taken a clean room, and I have the timestamp for when we left in a picture. So I called the hotel and he told me they don’t do returns because I didn’t give them a 72 heads up. I said the room was filthy, you didn’t have another one, and your employee said I’m just giving you a refund. His response- I have pictures, and you aren’t getting your money back. He’s hiding behind a cancellation policy, and started yelling he’s not giving us a refund.

Everything was great.

They couldn’t find my reservation at first and my card was already charged, however finally figured it out. Breakfast was poor , coffee bad. Rooms have been updated recently so were fine.

Place is very clean staff very helpful and accommodating

We ended up trapping 5 live crickets that were coming out of the woodwork. 1/4 inch gap in the door didn't help as it couldn't seal all the way. The vanity was disgusting as the was a big fake used eyelash sitting near the sink. Opposite side of the building filled with contractor employees hanging out in the parking lot , balcony and stairs consuming a large amount of beer. Not good!

Clean room. We killed 3 crickets though. They were all over outside. I think it was just that time of the year for them. Breakfast was basic but did the job. Ok place for the price.

Great customer service.

At first, I had to wait for the desk person to come back, but this made sense and she wasn't gone for long. She was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and I could park right outside my door, which made getting things in and out super easy. The area around was ok. It is after all, right off the highway, so expect that noise, but my husband found a nice Mexican restaurant he walked to for dinner. There were other restaurants nearby too - Cracker Barrel, for one. I was at ease walking my dog around at night and early morning.

There were stains at the bathroom. Bugs are on the floor. Bad smell in the room. We requested a room change or cleaning but the front desk did not help on anything. We booked 2 nights but we stayed only one night. We could not stay there any longer. We would like to request a refund. This was one of the worst hotel stay ever.
